I'll be honest, I was expecting more finger wagging here. Instead with the enabling, I realized I would be sorry if these slipped away, and they are no longer available online in my size, and down to last pairs in store. It feels frivolous, but I will love wearing these when I can. They are really comfortable--no pressure anywhere, but due to the heel and the wedge it does alter my gait compared to a flatter shoe.
La Belle D, I guess what is on my mind is that I recently restarted work after maternity leave and am kind of feeling re-judged in the workplace about my wardrobe. Where I work some people take pride in their lack of vanity, whereas I enjoy being a bit vain? Ha ha. It does basically come down to expressing myself, as you put your finger on. These shoes are so comfortable they are eight hour (but not every day of the week) shoes for me, but the fact that they are heels shows that I put an emphasis on my appearance.
Archer, you are right; they would work with anything that could be tucked in the top, including a baggy leg.
Angie, thanks so much for weighing in. You are very wise. I have been such a practical bunny for the last two years when it comes to shoes.
Okay, so I have these at home now. I feel a bit frivolous but happy. And now I will be shopping my closet for a few months after hitting the summer sales so hard.
