I am so pleased that I landed my newest assignment which will last through the end of the year. The location is nice, the people are nice and the free snacks are a neat perk.
I was told to wear a suit on the first day -- so I did. I'd also straightened my hair for the occasion since it's been cooler. 45 minutes of straightening was completely wasted (as you see I have pulled all of my hair straight back). The humidity was too great! But I chose to wear an unmatched suit because I knew the client was business casual but my company wanted to make a good impression. I thought this was a great compromise. Normally I would wear heels but the location is about 3/4 of a mile from where I get off the train and I did not want to carry both my lunch and alternate shoes.
I am wearing:
- Kasper single button jacket in blue and white (there is a rule that busty ladies should not wear a single button jacket but I really believe that it depends on where the button hits you on your torso)
- BR navy stretch twill pencil skirt
- silver satin shell
- pewter buckle flats
