Below is the trench I still cannot forgive myself for not buying it while it was still available. I still remember how my heart skipped a beat when I saw it. By the time I figured out I should perhaps pounce and buy it, it was too late. Both brick&mortar and on-line. It pains me even to write these lines.

I guess there are enough smart women out there who either read Angie's blog or have learnt to buy early in the season, especially if their sizes sell out quickly, or both. Well, I was obviously not one of them.

In my defense, when it was still in the shops, it was too cold outside to even think in terms of lighter clothing. And this is very spring-y trench, made of poly-cotton mix, still the fabric holds the shape beautifully. I naively believed it would wait until warmer days, so I can then try it on with the right clothing, footwear, etc. Not happening.

If I'm completely honest, a trench was not on my radar, especially not one that would put a significant hole in my budget, so that should make me feel better, but it does not really.

A classic piece.
In *my* color.
Effectively a neutral when it comes to my wardrobe.
Trusted brand which makes jackets/coats that fit me off the peg. I'm talking sleeves that are just the right length.

Seriously, What. Was. I. Thinking???

Please tell me better thing is somewhere out there waiting for me.

p.s.
It is sold out, but I have it bookmarked and keep checking the link regularly. Occasionally, an odd size reappears and quickly disappears from stock. If it's meant to be, it will happen, right?
