Looks better in the daylight. Love with the long pendant. Would love to see it decked-out with a little edge, think studded leather belt? Cropped leather jacket?

I have brown pleather or dark denim cropped jackets @ home that I can try with it.

Is there a dress on this planet that you *don't* look good in Kari? I like the warm tones on the black background. And of course the bag is fabulous with it. I probably sound like a broken record, but this is a great dress, it flatters and fits you and the colors are great! Keep!

Kari, I really like this dress on you and the colors are beautiful with your hair. I also like your yellow bag and boots. I'm at the airport and did a quick search for part 1. This dress looks like it has brown in it and the other had blues. Is this the dress with the shiny elements from ASOS? Just making sure I read the right post. Someone mentioned in part 1, your adorable berets, too, which would be another great look. Please keep it; you look stylish and elegant and will turn heads.

Vicki, yes, this is the same dress. It's black with Bright green, mustard, & royal blue detail in addition to the gold & red shiny embroidered patches.

Kari, I've seen the other thread on the run, but I haven't had much chance to check things in more details. But, what I'm seeing here just makes me wonder what the issue was. The dress is lovely and with that sunshine handbag it looks fantastic.

Admittedly, it is different than your other dresses, but that is a good thing, right? I think you've hit jackpots with dresses so far and this one can proudly hang in your wardrobe by the others.

Thanks, Ornella. My hang up was mainly that I'm not usually a "sparkly things" kind of girl-I like my outfits to have sheen and texture but not necessarily shine. So it's just different than my norm but the dress is definitely (not literally though) growing on me.

I also think that pushing the sleeves up to elbow length makes it look more flattering and current. B. suggested that the shorter sleeve length was better and I think he's right.

Looks WAY better now!!! I actually really like it on you a lot! I was one in favour of sleeve scrunching, too. What a huge difference it makes! Lightens the look. And that in turn is SO instructive to the rest of us. Sometimes we just have to fiddle with the item a bit to get it just "so" for ourselves. This looks like a fun addition to your wardrobe now!
