We got back a few hours ago and are elated to be reunited with our Rosie

We had a wonderful time at all the wedding events. The weather was sublimely warm and sunny - and felt like a Seattle Summer.

The YLF gathering was AMAZING! My only complaint was that it was too short :(. We needed at least another day together, don't you think? Big thank you to Laura for organizing the gathering so perfectly. It ran like clockwork despite the green St. Paddy's Day crowds. Brekkie and lunch were scrumptious! And a huge thank you to those who traveled from afar. Sveta from Canada! Jonesy, Ruth and Juile from Michigan! Sara from Minnesota! And Traci from Wisconsin! I am very touched.

Can't wait to see you all sport your new Chicago loot!

It was truly a perfect day and I had a wonderful time! It was such a pleasure meeting Angie (who is amazing beyond belief!), and all the YLF ladies. It was natural and easy... I loved it and can't wait to do it again!

I adore the Vince Camuto blouse that I bought and will surely post pictures when I wear it.

It really was an amazing day, Angie! I appreciate you and Greg for sharing your limited free time in Chicago with us. I had a great time and came home with some much needed wardrobe motivation and inspiration.

Thanks, Angie for giving part of your special weekend to your YLF friends! I kept thinking...."Look! They're all in 3-D!" I wore my new Miss Mooz shoes yesterday to church and kept them on throughout the whole day, even for the trip to Home Depot. You know a lady in fancy shoes gets better service in the hardware aisle! What a fun and interesting group of women!

BTW --- I can't wait to see that yellow jacket make an appearance!

I still cannot believe that I met you in person, Angie! It was worth the travel and hassle on the border for sure. Now every time I read your blog post or comments I will hear your lovely voice and see you in my mind's eye.
My special thanks to Jonesy who shared her car and her house with me - I would not be able to make this trip without you! Also to Sara who shared her hotel room with me - and helped me to assess those Editors well into Friday's night even though she was exhausted after her night bus ride and the whole day of Chicago wandering!
It was so great meeting everybody in person and have fun together shopping and eating and laughing and talking up the storm.
Thank you all for making this a truly special day!

It was SO fun to be able to meet everyone and spend some quality gabbing time and shopping time together! I can't encourage anyone enough: if you're on mulling over some future meet-up - just do it!

It was also a delight sharing a hotel room with Sveta Clever girl to have her Express pants shipped to the hotel! Who else but another YLFer would understand taking pics of our backsides to assess VPLs!!

I even got a pre-meet-up bonus the day before, when I spied a vaguely familiar face while wandering in Bloomingdales. . . What a treat Felt like I had won a YLF lottery!

I had to get a pic to prove (even to myself) it really happened!!

I know I scored big time, not just on the shopping front, but on the food, friendship and camaraderie front. Can hardly wait to debut my Ivanka Trump jacket and Kensie (Equipment look-alike) blouse. Angie, you always make it magical!

Thank you Angie for spending part of your time with us! It really was great to meet everyone. Thank you also to Laura for making all the arrangements. The only thing I purchased was new undies at Soma(the vanishing edge as I read about here), so I won't be posting any pictures! I did also purchase some boots for DS's girlfriend as Macy's was practically giving them away!
Sveta, that was really smart of you to have your pants shipped to the hotel! Only a YLFer would think of that!
One thing I am rethinking after being in Chicago on St. Patrick's Day is the whole emerald green trend!
Hope we can meet again sometime!

Sounds like you all had so much fun. I am so, so, sorry I missed out on meeting you all, especially Angie!

I do have to confess, it turned out to be a good thing in my house that I decided to stay home and spend time with my husband before he left for a week in London; he found out in the early afternoon that his flight was cancelled, and there was complete panic and multiple phones on hold while we both scrambled to get him on another one. I ended up taking him to the airport earlier than expected, and luckily from there he got on a standby flight. If I had been downtown when that happened, it could have had much worse results. So I know he was grateful in the end that I was home!

Next time I will make sure he is not leaving the country when I have important shopping plans. LOL!
