I'm headed for FL in a few days, and I bought this shirt to take with. I probably would never wear it alone, because it makes me look so busty, but I like it under other things. I'm taking this blue jacket for a smart casual look (we'll probably go out to eat one night) and I think it also works with the grey cardi (although the cardi is sort of a lighter color than the shirt - is that okay?) What else can I wear the shirt with (under?) Thanks!

Wow Tarzy, I think that the shirt looks great on its own!!I do not like it so much with the grey cardi. It gets kind of lost and your coloring seems to require more contrast. I love it with the blazer, the structure and color are great. Have you thought about a black cami instead of white. A black blazer or moto jacket would be great, make it look less pastel and more Tarzy. Charcoal grey would also work. I do not think another color would be good.

Thanks, Jean. As I have mentioned, I'm such a dummy when it comes to color.

I thought since I'm going to FL the light grey cardi would be a good thing to take, but I can always wear that with something different underneath. I also have the same cardi in black - would that work with this pink shirt? I'm sure I'll need a cover-up for AC in restaurants, etc. Unfortunately I don't have a charcoal grey cardi, only this lighter grey. But I'm keeping my eyes peeled for one.

I LOVE this with the jacket! That outfit, to me, is smart and sassy and has a young feel to it, without being inappropriately youthful (if that makes sense). You are inspiring me. I am also trying more color and finding it hard. Thanks for being brave!

I just took another look and the jacket and pendant is SOO great!! You really hit a home run with that outfit.
I think the cardigan is too unstructured for that soft blouse even in a darker color. Maybe one that is shorter than the shirt, more cropped and fitted. You could do the whole belt thing but it seems really silly to take off a belt and then put it back on. Is the jacket too warm to wear inside? Maybe a lighter fabric jacket, military or bomber?

Jean - I'm currently on a major quest to find lightweight jackets! I have some great structured jackets that I love, but when the temps rise in LA, most of them feel too dark. I'm having such a challenge finding casual jackets that don't look too young/trendy.

I did find this white one from Talbots - but I'm not sure it's right. I like the shape, but is it too boring? (It's a stretch cotton.)

Tarzy, what a pretty blouse. I like it with both black and white jacket. I like it with the soft gray sweater, too. It is more casual than the other two outfits.

I love the blouse with the blue or the white jacket! The reason why I think it doesn't work with the gray is that both pieces are more of a pastel, and with your skin tone you need a bright to contrast with the pastel to make it work. (I am the same way.) So even though it's a white jacket, it's a bright white. I do actually like it with the darker blue, though; it's more Tara to me.

That said, I do think you could wear it alone; it doesn't make you look as busty as you think. And GO YOU on trying some color!

I love it with both jackets. The white is perfect for FL, so if you can only take one, take that one. But I love it with the blue too.

The grey cardi - I don't think it's that bad, but I just think the jackets look so much better.

I do love it without any jacket at all too.

The top is KILLER with the jackets! Well done! The colour is beautiful and I adore it with the white cami. Your bod looks delicious!

The top does not make you look busty at all. It’s perfect around the bosom. But I’d have preferred a sleeved or sleeveless garment. This forum knows how I feel about cap sleeves (sad face).

That's a great top and you look great in it! If you want to visually reduce the size of your bust wear a larger scale pendant or necklace as it draws attention up and away from your bust (the necklace needs to sit on your skin not on fabric.

Angie - i totally agree about the sleeves, but I knew I'd be layering it, and I so rarely see a color that calls out to me, so I grabbed it.

Sinead - the blue jacket is from Ann Taylor. It's a bit more cropped than most of my other jackets, and I wasn't sure about it. I'm glad it gets the thumbs up. I can only buy jackets when they go on the sales rack, and I think that one was from a few months ago. I keep scouring those sales racks! I desperately need a fab pair of jeans too, but that's like searching for the Holy Grail.

Meant to get back to you, the white jacket is great! I think it is a good look for the summer and because it is lighter than the pink and pure white it creates more drama and contrast. It is also structured which also contrasts with the softness of the shirt. That is what I meant about drama, does not have to be black although black does work well for you. I never knew that Angie was not a fan of cap sleeves. Does anyone know why? Maybe I should do an Ask Angie on that one.

TARZY! yay for color! you look absolutely gorgeous in the pink top! i don't think it makes you look busty at all, and with the jackets? amaaaaaaaaaazing. the white jacket, especially, is KILLER.

i personally don't have a problem with cap sleeves, but hey, i'm no expert
