Target dresses, take two - YouLookFab Forum

I returned all three of the Target dresses - I know you guys liked the flowered sundress, but it felt a little too juvenile for me. I picked up the teal wrap dress in a size small, the same wrap dress in a pink/purple floral, and a blue/green patterned chiffon dress. Tell me what you think.

Teal dress. I definitely think that I should only wear flats with pants. Flats with skirts on me seem to stumpify instantly.

Same wrap dress in floral, sandals with a bit of a heel. My husband, who was taking these pictures, said he couldn't believe this was the same as the teal dress because he liked it so much better.

Blue/green chiffon dress. I think if I were going to wear this to work, I'd need a cami underneath. I have a white one with lace trim - would that work?

I really like the chiffon dress on you, especially how you styled it. I like the wrap dresses ok, but I don't love them. I like wrap dresses with more drape, so they don't look stiff. Teal is a very pretty color on you though!

I also really like the chiffon dress, both with and without the cardigan. I don't think the flats stumpify you, but if you're feeling uncomfortable, maybe something a bit lighter colored, without a heel?

I really like the chiffon dress on you! Definitley keep that one.

How do you feel in the floral wrap dress? I only ask because I have tried that one on and felt that it was a bit stiff for me.

I love the chiffon dress!

I'm not a fan of the collar and sleeves on the wrap dress. They stand out more in the teal dress, even though I like the color and its simplicity over the busy floral pattern and colors.

Hum... comparing the teal with the print warp dress, I think the print wins because it is a tad shorter, which makes the proportions just right with flats. So, if you love the teal, you could try to pin the hem. I find wrap dresses very flattering in general so I might be biased.
The chiffon dress looks great on you! A white cami would work for me and so would a heavier (for a lack of a better word...) pair of sandals, such as the strappy/cage sandals Angie has been blogging about.

The chiffon dress is lovely on you. I prefer the print wrap to the teal one, is the teal in a larger size? Some low wedges might be nice with any of them in preference to flats, if you don't want to go for high heels.

Chiffon dress is a definite yes, and I would keep the floral over the teal. I have the same issue with flats and dresses, and I'm pretty tall and long-legged! So don't think it's you, it's just the look. Stick with open toed or something with a heel, and you should be in good shape.

Thanks everyone! I decided to keep the chiffon and take the other two back - I think I can do better. I've got the Nine West YLF dress on its way (baaaaa) and a few other jersey dresses from Overstock.com. (FYI, the YLF dress is $45.99 on Overstock right now.)
