Descriptions of your daily ensembles

Tanya - Week of 11/17

Here are my outfits from the past week. The theme - cardigans. This is the last week that I am posting outerwear photos , since it's gotten so cold that I'll wear either my grey puffer or brown wool coat. I am even thinking of getting a new, knee-length puffer since I wasn't warm enough on a really cold day in my grey down puffer, which is my warmest coat.

The Monday grey merino cardigan is a real score, from VS out of all places. I really loved it and stalked it till it went on clearance.

Thursday - I worked from home so I wore my new velour lounge wear that I got inspired by Angie's blog post on sweats.

Friday- this is the second wear of my new R&S skinnies, and since Patience asked, I have to say that they wear very well and they hardly stretched at all, other than a little in the waistband.

Saturday - I finally got my Diesel skinnies back from the tailor and wore them immediately.

You look fabulous all week - even in your sweats and slippers! They are all so stylish, but I really like your monday outfit. Perfect for the cold weather we had last week (I'm in Boston too). And you have a very envious coat collection :)

Lovely, lovely lovely. I really like the VS cardigan.

Another great week! The VS cardigan is interesting--I like the little cable knits. And I love the newsboy cap, that is adorable, and you wear it well (I'm jealous).

I really like the VS cardigan and I quite like you in the wide leg jeans. Very nice. We don't see a lot of those on the forum but you look great in them. I also really like the striped turtleneck peaking out from under the black jacket. But you already knew I was a fan of this look. :-) The boyfriend cardigan look acheives that kind of sophisticated casual look that I'm always hoping to achieve. Thanks for the inspiration.

You look great all week, Tanya. I especially like the Sunday outfit with the patterned cardigan and blue top. Your skinnies look FABULOUS on you! The VS cardigan looks good too. There is a women in my office that purchases most of her clothing at VS online. She has some really nice items. I haven't ventured much with clothing there, just an odd sweater or two. Do you get much at VS? I would think you have the perfect body to shop there.

It’s like I said in this post: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....replies=24 – your daily style quotient is OUTSTANDING. It’s one thing to look great occasionally or twice in one week, but you maintain a high style quotient EVERYDAY and that’s a hard thing to do. You are a style master my dear Tanya and I applaud your fabulous-ness.

I LOVE your puffer jackets! I also love you in a hat! The empire belted cardi is gorgeous and you know how much I like that diagonal striped scarf. But ALL the outfits are superb and that includes your new lounging sweats. Wow!! How do you top yourself uber stylish, Tanya. Simply sizzling.

Thank you very much ladies! I really like that VS cardigan, it is very structured, like a sweater-jacket, I like the tiny belt that comes with it and the quality is great, especially for VS.

Eva, about VS clothing: they have some very cute things, but the quality is not that great. I'd say it's comparable to Express, less than BR. However, it varies strongly from piece to piece so if you really like it give it a try.

I used to buy a lot of things from them in the past, but recently started buying much less. I have learned to avoid some of their lines - for example, boucle sweaters. I really love those and have gotten quite a few over past couple of years. They come in great colors and shapes and are very warm. But usually after a season of medium wear they look awful, so I am not getting any new ones, just wearing old ones that still look good till they are worn out. But I have gotten some skirts and dresses over the summer, and then this sweater, a blouse and a skirt this fall, all of very good quality. So you never know I guess :)

Edit: I have just read Angie's post. Angie, thank you so much for all the kind words, I am deeply humbled *blushing *

I am glad you like the puffers. I am thinking about getting a third one if I find one that's true knee length ( not just a little longer than the grey one), very fitted and has a detachable hood. But I haven't seen any of those yet.

Yeap, I think Angie nailed it when she called you a style master. You truly are! You look amazingly stylish every single day! I am always impressed when you post pictures. You have such a great inventory of clothes and you use it all very well. So creative! :-)

It's so hard to pick a favorite, but I *love* Friday's outfit. You wear it with style! And it's fun to see your lounge-wear. Your slippers look warm! :-)

Tanya, WOW! You do consistently look great! It's what I strive for and you do it so effortlessly! I really like Tuesday's outfit with the berry color cardigan. That color really pops on you. I love your coat collection and your bag collection. I am watching your layering style and taking notes :)

Tanya, you look wonderful every day, but the outfit that really grabbed me was the little swing coat over the subtly striped turtleneck. You wear skinnies and boots really well. I also loved the VS cardi and the newsboy cap. You have a way of finding pieces that have just a little something special about them!

I love how you have theme weeks for your clothing. I've never done that before, but I may try it. It would definitely help me to be more creative with my outfits.

My favorite outfit is Friday's. It looks so chic and stylish, like you should be walking the streets of Paris. :)

Thank you all so much for all the kind words! What a great way to start my day.

Becky, the slippers are warm, bit it's the cat paw design that did it for me, since I love cats! I figure I can be a bit childish in my lounge wear.

Violet, I sometimes have a them to help me narrow down what to wear, it makes for a quicker morning decision on what to wear.

I love that cobalt cardigan! Great colour on you. Lovely outfits as usual, Tanya!

I'm very slow in replying here - had a busy week! I just wanted to chime in with everyone else to say how great you look Tanya - so stylish and put-together! My fave outfit is the Fri with the H&M swing jacket - just stunning!!!!

Tanya - fantastic as usual. Love the VS cardi and my fav ensemble is the turtleneck, short jacket, skinnies, and boots. Looking at your pictures inspires me to work out and get to a flatter belly!
