Here are my outfits from last week:

The green dance dress from 01/09 is all about the back look, but as much as I have tried, I can not take a good photo of my own back in the mirror. Does anyone have any tips on that? Here is the back view from the merchant's site:

Something about the 01/07 outfit does not feel quite right. I like the tunic/skinnies/boots combo, but I think that it's the red top that feels wrong. What would you recommend I use for layering instead? Brown is boring, cream predictable, and a fourth color ( like red here) looks too much. I am also not sold on the scoop neck either, maybe I should go for a turtleneck next time?

Fab outfits! I love your salsa dancing outfit, the draping on that top is gorgeous. I also really like the last knit blazer.
I like the red with the tunic. Would teal or some blue shade work with it?

Re: 01/07. I really like how you used cream skinnies (considering it's winter time)! I don't have any advice about the red top, but you've definitely reminded me to try cream denim with brown or chestnut shoes.

I adore your collection of drapey tunic tops and cowlneck tops. It also got me thinking about clothing shapes and possible holes in my closet.

Tanya, I think I've put my finger on what's throwing me off in 01/07. I think it's the gold buttons - when combined with black and red it reminds me of a marching band uniform or something like that. This is only one perspective, however, so feel free to ignore me.

Mmm Tanya, more great looks...as always! Am loving you in the blues you are sporting. Inf act for 7/1 I was going to suggest blue as a top layering colour rather than the red...either cobalt or a navy would work well I thinK! That VS dress is just gorgeous on you! You must ROCK the dance floor!!!

Red is not the best option here - you´re right, it´s too many colors. You could try cream boots to get rid of one color, or, better, use some shades of blue.

Hah! The outfit on the 5th looks very familiar, Tanya. Needless to say – I love it. I’m digging how you popped a cowl neck knit top over a turtle neck in the outfit of 6th Jan. It looks hip and cool especially with those KILLER patent boots. Nice to see cream jeans in January and that Obi belt is smashing!

The cream jeans outfit would probably work better with black and grey on top. I really like cream and chestnut with black and grey!

But the green dance dress takes the cake. Sensational against your cream skin. You are a VERY stylish little creature :0)

Angie, the 01/05 outfit was of course inspired by you while the layering idea for the 01/06 one came from Ana.

About the tricky 01/07 outfit - thank you to everyone who suggested various shadse of blue. I have a teal turtleneck so I am going to give it a try. The sweater tunic in the photo is a very dark brown, not black. So I have a question for those who mentioned going for black&grey on the top with cream skinnies - did you mean to use either color as a layering piece under the brown tunic or to completely get rid of the tunic and just do something else in black/grey?

1/5 - I love the combination of the stripes and the belt. Fun horizontal lines!

1/8 - GORGEOUS top. It looks so good on you.

That green dress is KILLER. Everyday is killer.
I would not have noticed anything off about the red top in question except that you mention it. I feel, as Lena does, that the gold buttons add another color. Perhaps changing the buttons would be cute.

When I first saw the 01/07 outfit I thought the tunic was navy, but now realize it is brown. I like the idea of different buttons (a more muted metallic, maybe?). If you don't mind stripes, what about a gentle, narrow stripe LS tee underneath. Or no layer under, instead a cropped layer over the tunic?

Anyway, my favorites are the salsa dancing outfit - very elegant and unfussy for dancing, and the 01/03 cashmere tunic/skinnies/Doc Martens - vibrant color in another elegant look.

Angie, thank you for clarifying the black/grey issue. I think that it is the brown tunic that is creating the problems. I do not have much brown in my wardrobe and I think I should simply avoid in the future in clothing items ( accessories are fine). I will change the buttons into something more neutral and try wearing the tunic with blue jeans.

OOOOOh Tanya, what more can I add??!! So stylish and stunning, again!!!

I absolutely adore the turtleneck underneath the cowl neck, so flattering on you. And HOW I want those Via Spiga boots, yumm!!

The La Rok tunic outfit is incredible too. Sleek, simple and elegant. And I love the patent wedges with the skinny pants.

That Victoria Secret dress is in a league of its own of course. AND it's that beautiful colour green, extra bonus points for that.
(sorry no helpful suggestions for the pictures though, the only thing I can think of is to try it with a self-timer, but I'm not sure your camera has one).

About the brown tunic: maybe you could try it with a darkish teal turtleneck or button-down shirt underneath and keep the bottom part of the outfit fairly dark?
