SYC - I blew it for this ?????

For those who remember the anxiety I had over a leather blazer : I am not buying it.

Then, this weekend, as I was shopping for my kids, I picked this up at Old Navy

It was $25, cute and unlike anything I would ever wear. But I had seen AJ in a similar tunic with leggings and a knit vest and I loved the look. Great...I am now AJ !

I walked out of the mall and thought, " OMG, SYC !!!!! " So it is being returned tomorrow...but I thought, wow, is this how thoughtlessly I shop ? And I don't consider myself a shopper, in the first place.

So, I am still in ???

don't know if you're in or out, but the buttons on the dress pockets made me think of nipples.

is that the look you're going for?

I agree you should return it. It is cute but nowhere near killer, definitely not worth blowing SYC.

I'd say that was an accident, and since you were momentarily unconscious and didn't have the required mental state to violate the SYC challenge, and you are going to remedy the situation forthwith, you're still in! How's that for a legal analysis?

Like bj, the first thing I noticed was the unfortunate placement of those pocket buttons. If you're going to blow it, do it for the leather jacket.

BJ1111 - Maybe, without realizing it, that is the look I want. Afterall, my "real" boobs are more like "manboobs" : ) BTW, it was so thoughtless that I didn't try it on - I just threw it on the pile with my kids' clothes ! So the added "nippleage " is a total bonus...maybe now I shouldn't return it.

But as my legal representative stated, I was "momentarily unconscious and didn't have the required mental state to violate the SYC challenge, and you are going to remedy the situation forthwith... " maybe Laura and the other ladies will forgive me.... ( thanks MaryK; ) ) WHo thought I would need a lawyer for the SYC ???? More importantly, I hope I shopped better for my kids.

Yup, this will forever be the Nipple Tunic to me.

Looking at the pic again, I see that the Nipple Tunic also has a face. See, the nipple buttons double as eyes, the row of buttons in the middle is the nose with the bottom of the placket as a tiny mouth, and the sleeves make the ears. This is just like one of my kids' drawings. I think in my head it will be the Nipple-Face Tunic.

ETA: I may be the only one to see a face, though. Could be the glass of red wine I'm having.

Isabel, I saw that tunic mentioned somewhere before and I meant to always keep an eye out for it, but thanks to you gals the nipple face tunic no longer has its appeal.

MaryK - I was also thinking those nipples are definitely a bit North in comparison.

Isabel, seriously? I think you should keep it. The nipple/button issue is really only important for bustier models. Sorry, but I am still missing everyone's motivation for SYC (literally missed the thread). Seems like a lot of self-punishment in a gorgeous fall fashion season.

Isabel - Nipple Tunic is definitely NOT worth blowing your SYC pledge! I say take it back immediately and we'll all pretend that it never happened!
