I have finally got to trying my orange dress for fall outfit. As I posted yesterday I tried black leggings and cardigan with it but somehow black just felt wrong with this shade of orange.
I have switched to brown and I think it works better.
Summer variant: blue corduroy jacket, platinum sandals, animal print belt, wooden necklace
Fall variant: burgundy turtleneck, olive pleather vest, brown patterned scarf, brown tights, plum Sweet Cone Clarks booties:

How did I do? Can I really wear this shade of orange in the fall - I never considered it before!

love it Sveta-- in fact I think I like the fall version better than the summer. I say of course you can wear that dress for fall

I have a preference for the summer look, probably because I love the color of that jacket sooo much on you:) and I love it paired with the dress alot!!
What is the weight of the dress? Does the weight work well for winter?

The power of color combination is incredible - this orange looks completely different depending on what I pair it with! Blue intensifies it and earth colors tone it down.
Taylor, it is a medium weight polyester so I don't think it will do for winter but for fall - like until mid-November - completely possible. I was not sure about color this bright but it looks like pairing it with muted colors made it less bright.

I love the beautiful high contrast of the jacket in the summer variation - both the dress and jacket are gorgeous colors - and the repitition of plum shades in the fall outfit. That is wonderful that a brightly colored dress works so well for both seasons!

I would say this fall outfit is pushing the envelope for me on funk factor. I have to think about it for awhile.

I was actually looking forward to coming back to this outfit today. I think visually it is a lot to take in in one look. It's a little hard for me to explain my thoughts, but here goes. I like the color palette and the layering, and I think if you stopped there I wouldn't have wavered. I think somehow it is the brown hose and the booties that are pushing the boundaries because the brown hose adds another color to the mix, and then on top of that you are wearing booties, which are a fashion-forward choice, and on top of that they are violet, which is lovely, but again, something out of the ordinary. There is nothing here that I would say doesn't go or is a bad shape. It's visually complex. I think it works, but that's why it's pushing the envelope for me.

Am I crackers?
