Una been thinking of you! Your situation is so similar to my own. I also had an ovary removed. Take care and make the most of your recovery time.

I've been thinking of you- hoping each day has you feeling better than the day before until you're back to 110%

I've been thinking of you, as well. I hope your recovery is progressing well and that you will be home soon.

Thinking of you, Una!!

I'm so glad to hear that the operation went well, I was surprised it wasn't longer but I guess medical technique just gets better and better.
I feel like you're exploring a new territory that I may be traveling to myself and the news you send back is so interesting.

Glad to hear the surgery went well! I've been thinking of you.

Becky

I just noticed this thread. It sounds like you are getting better if you're getting bored. I bet you're glad it's over. Take it easy and try to relax.

Isabel, I'm happy to answer questions. I was in surgery for two hours and could have stayed one more night but being home is so much better.

Oh great news, AG, you are back home! I hope your men are taking good care of you and the critters aren't trying to curl up in your lap. Wishing you a speedy recovery and healing.

I'm sorry to find this so late but I'm wishing you a speedy and problem free recovery.

How ARE your critters responding? Can I talk again about how when I had surgery, Lilypup was ready to leave me for dead? Lol. Ahaha! 'Great seeing you, so sorry you can't keep up with the pack...Ciao, baby!'

I love my dog.

Glad to hear it went well, rest up, take good care of yourself, and not to be gross, but if you are on stool softeners, learn from me and don't stop them too soon.

Oh that's good to know you're home again. It's always so much better to be in your own bed. Feel better soon!

I'm out of town with my DD, and not good at checking this part of the site, so am just seeing this now. Realized I should come looking from the Dillo thread. Just wanted to say I'm so glad you've had the surgery, that it went well, and to wish you a speedy recovery. Well, as speedy as it should be, don't push things!

I'm glad all went well! Rest up and take it easy!

Ugh, awake at 5 am. I'm actually at my parents' condo with them where it's quiet and restful, so I don't have cats walking on me or Kona nudging. My doc said the next few days will be the worst, so I caved in and took the real pain meds for now. Getting up or sitting down is the hardest part - I had no idea how much ab muscles are used throughout the day!

Mary's recommendation of "Unbreakable Kimmie..." has been fun to watch with my parents, although being in stitches from laughing is painful when you literally are in stitches!

Oh, yes -- the hardest part for me was getting in and out of bed without using those abdominal muscles. I kind of had to roll over and out, very slowly, for quite a few days.

I love Kimmy Schmidt!

AG, I am glad that things went well and it's very nice to see you around again.

Ya, roll over and out. I used a walking stick to sort of push myself upright and then steady myself after that... And lean on as I shuffled, paused, shuffle, paused. It's a nice stick... Old golf club shaft with a rubber tip.

I am sorry I didn't see this before. Glad to hear that everything went smoothly. Take care of yourself, or better let your mom take care of you.:)

All good thoughts for a bit of daily progress and increasing comfort, Una. Hope you can get some rest.

Gosh Portlandia is fun when you're loopy! Why haven't I watched it before?

Portlandia is the best therapy ever! Glad you're getting to watch it in an "enhanced" state!

Xtabay, how is your healing going? I think I overestimated my ability to recover - don't know why I thought I'd be good in a few days! You all warned me....

I didn't see this thread before, but I'm so glad that everything went well and that you're okay.

Thinking of you and wishing you the best during your recovery....

Glad you are out of hospital rest up and feel better soon

Glad you are home now. Get lots of rest and pampering!

Portlandia: Put a bird on it!
