I'm planning to buy a skirt for summer, and could use some ideas! I have a black skirt now that I use quite a lot (#2), but the fabric is pretty thick, so it doesn't feel very summery. I could just get another black skirt with a lighter fabric, but I'd like to consider some options.

Also, from a few years back, I have a floral black and white skirt, that I think I can still use (#5-6) which could be good for variation.

To start, I currently have some tops that I know I will use during summer, so I'd like the new skirt to match (most) of them. (I'll probably get some new tops as summer is approaching, but these are the ones I have at the moment)

#3 Pale purple/greyish top

#4 Orange-y top

#5 Navy blue top

#6 Regular black (tank?) top

I have found some skirts online that I'm considering. What I'm after is a knee-length skirt, light and flowy, with a summery feel. Since the tops I have are both solid colours and with stripes/prints, I'm looking for a skirt with a solid colour (I think matching prints with prints will be too busy). I include a skirt with large polka dots still, just because I love the look! And yes, I'm drawn too blues and greens!

Any thoughts or ideas? Any colours I should look for or stay away from? All thoughts are much appreciated! (The colourful skirts might not work with the orange-y top, and maybe not with the pale purple/greyish either... I mostly match colours with black or denim, so I'm not used to colour+colour, but maybe that's something I can work on?)
