It's fun to keep the family peeps amused!

The rain outfit looks perfectly suited, and I think the holiday outfit looks fun! Much prefer the lighter stole myself.

As an aside, I've always wanted to ask about your pup's name. Pokemon related or happenstance?

I never new about the Pokemon connection! Total coincidence. A play on *Lilliput* really.

Eek! I hope everyone in that area is ok.

Love seeing Lilypup all curled up; that's what Thistle thinks about rain too. And your work from home outfit is beyond fabulous.

Hah how fun ^^ I must admit that I pictured Lilypup as the Pokemon version until seeing an actual photo

My Kitty fully agrees with Lilypup's thoughts about the rain, by the way. He's barely budged off his heating pad all week.

Your photos are so fun,Rachylou! Love Lilypup all curled up, and then ready to go in her rain jacket. You look ready for the weather in your outdoor outfit, and I do like that Christmas outfit! What shoes are you wearing with it?

Do you ever go hiking? Or think you'll want to? If so, it might be worth looking at sales to replace your wet-weather gear. Since there's no hurry, you can take the time to find something at the right price. I've never invested in Goretex myself, because I'm not that into hiking, but I do have a jacket that is a good rain-resistant option, and pants that are at least quick-drying. That might be enough for you to have on hand.

Thx, for the outfit approval! I do believe I'll wear it for X-mas indeed.

I like to hike, but haven't been out forever. I didn't even get to go car camping with my mom this year. But rain gear is useful. And at one outfit every 20 years, lol, the cost of ownership isn't too bad. Nice to have it ready to go when you need it.

I've only had one Goretex jacket ever. I didn't find it very warm or waterproof enough. I'd probably go for something like the rain pants - zippered for breathability because they're really waterproof - and do some sort of under layer for warmth.

Lilypup has the right idea, snuggling up on the couch in this weather.

You and Pup look very weather appropriate and smashing. Loving the shocking pink, that complements your dark neutrals. And I dare you to wear the folklore garb to Xmas dinner with the family. xo

Thanks, Angie! I think I'll return to the sofa/nest myself.

And I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna wear the folklore outfit for the family dinner. No rushed laziness this year!

Will have to think about what shoes. What short of shoes say *folklore*?

p.s. Gak! I don't know that it was such a brilliant idea to try and wear my rubber riding boots out by using them as rain boots. Not on the long dog walks. They leak!

You are ready for any weather. And whether.

Hope things are looking up weatherwise! I love your rain look -- comfy, but also rather stylish. And Lillypup looks adorable in her coat (although I'm sure the wind and rain made her love the couch even more).

Still constant rain, but the squalls have passed. It occurs to me my improvised rain look is pretty masculine, and I'm not sure what a feminine rain look would be... not if you really want to stay dry.

OMG. Those photos of the rain!! Wow.

I bow down. I mean, we get cold. We get snow. But that we do not get. No wonder Lilypup wants to curl up and hide. I would, too. (Love her coat, by the way. Also love the genesis of her name.)

Also, your outfits are beyond fantastic. I love how you can go from one look to another that's completely different -- yet still look like yourself. Why can't I do that?

I don't think your rain look was "masculine" so much as "urban." Esp. with Lilypup on your arm.

Then again, I do have high tolerance for mannish.

Oh, and in other news, you are a species of saint for taking your neighbour to work in all that.

I also vote urban for the rain look. A femme rain look? Hmm perhaps a flared trench and tall wedge heel wellies

Sorry for the late reply, I have been travelling a lot for work and don't always have access to the net even enough I do bring my Macbook Air everywhere I go.

I did see the storm on television that hit California .... that was massive! I am glad you pulled through it. Really cute outfit on the dog you posted and I think you look much better then me when a storm hits. I just wear whatever waterproof stuff I have when a massive rainstorm hits, even though I probably look hideous LOL
