Log into Photobucket. On the right there will be a click button to upload your photos that says "Choose File", with selections on the right. If you take them straight from your digital camera, make sure it is plugged into your computer with a USB cable, and turned on. Click "Choose File". A window of your computer files will open up. Then choose "My Computer" to see all of your drives. My camera shows up as "F: removable disk". (Look for something similar.) You may need to continue clicking on the options that open in the screen if they are folders, to get to the actual photo. Once you find the one you want, click on it so that it appears in the "Open" bar, and hit enter or click again. Photobucket will start downloading your picture. Click "Save and Continue", and now you will see it in your album.

When you have your album open, there is a blue bar there that says, "Photobucket: My albums, group albums, etc." Underneath in the grey bar on the left, there is an option that says, "Edit images." When you mouse over it, a drop down menu appears with some options. The bottom option on the menu says, "More options." Click, "More options." It should let you choose which album you want to edit. If you only have one album, like me, it will automatically open the album and let you select a photo. When you mouse over a photo a button appears that says, "Select." Click on the photo you want to edit, and it will open a new window with options like crop, and then there are 2 buttons that have arrows that make a little circle. You click that and it will rotate the photo 90 degrees every time you click it. When you have the photo the way you want, you can either click "Save a copy" (blue button under the photo) or "Replace original" which will replace the photo in your album. Then you can post the direct link and the photo should appear right side up.
To post a picture in a thread, you'll need to be logged into your photobucket album on another screen or tab. Go to your album and left click once on the "direct link" bar underneath the picture that you want. A little yellow bar that says "copied" will appear to let you know that you are successful. Now go back to your post and right click in the spot you want to put the link. Choose "Paste" from the little drop down menu that appears and your link should appear. (Don't worry if it looks like a long address. It gets abbreviated in your post)
