Apropos of Angie's recent post about oversize tops, it seems I have amassed quite a collection of capes & ponchos lately! All of my old clothes were a little too baggy, so I've really been making a conscious effort to size down and wear more slim-fitting clothes. And yet it seems I have been going in the opposite direction as well with these huge tops. Just thought I'd share my collection! What do you think?

-3. Saw this orange poncho at Nordstrom and it was so fab it followed me home! I love the pumpkin spice color, perfect for fall. And I love how it's a true poncho so your arms are free to move around. It was full price but I returned stuff to Nordstrom and got a price adjustment at Anthro on my red trench so I didn't have to fork over any additional money to get it. I am in love with this poncho!
-5. Golden Gate Cardigan from Anthro--also got two price adjustments on this baby. I love this deep purple color. Unfortunately, the bottom is starting to pill a bit after only one wear. I guess that's the way of things with knits?
-7. Cabled Cocoon poncho in moss green from Anthro. Also got on super duper sale so it was pretty cheap. Haven't worn this out yet, not sure if I want to keep it? The arms come out of these little slits in the front so it's a bit more restrictive otherwise the poncho rides up. Also not sure if this goes with my complexion as well as the orange and purple. What do you think--keep or return?
-9. Helene Berman cape from Nordstrom--I managed to get a $100 price adjustment on this--yay! I know camel is kind of boring on me, but sometimes I need a neutral topper.
-12. I was so bummed that the Missoni Target purple space dye turtleneck I ordered was too big for me and had to be returned, but look what I found at Macy's--the exact same print in a poncho type shirt! It was just draped over a rack all by its lonesome (nothing like it anywhere) and it happened to be my size. So I think it must be fate! I've never had a top like this--it's basically a rectangle but sewn up at the sides, so it doesn't show your bra and drapes when you have your arms down. Fun!
