Sorry I didn't get back to this thread yesterday - the afternoon/evening turned out to be just too darned busy. Imagine - work and life getting in the way of my YLF time - lol!

Thanks for the commiseration and "therapy" ladies. It's all good. And I'm thinking maybe it's one of those strange "blessing in disguise" things. This will give me a bit of time to really think about my style, where I want it to go, and how to achieve that.

Can I throw one last thought into this thread? I was thinking about this yesterday, and you know something interesting? "That" store, the one where you bought these pieces......well I bet you the clothes I have that I wear the least, and often regret having bought , all come from there. I use it as a default store when I'm trying to find something and am having no success in my usual places. It's a hodgepodge of prints, and textures and studs and sequins and a lot of other s**^ , and it's often hard to pull out things are really going to stand the test of time. Unfortunately too, they all know me there (the asst manager Heather is an old friend) and I end up getting talked into things I don't really want or like or aren't my thing.
Why am I telling you all of this? Maybe this IS a blessing in disguise and this isn't quite the source for your best look either? Anyways.......

Laughing at Lisa's description of "that" store as her desperation stop. I'm relieved to know that I'm not alone in having a hard time figuring out its "style" vibe. And I can't help smiling at the thought of a car as a useful tool in honing one's fashion sensibilities.

Actually, you could use the car as a reason not to buy anything a salesperson is trying to talk you into taking home.

That's life happening all.the.time. BTW hope you tried them on at least(save the picties, too, if you made some). You can always purchase them later, again:-).

Eek! I'm sorry Shannon. I like your attitude about it. And I like bettycrocker's idea about using it a reason not to be pressured into buying something.

I truly admire you.. It wouldn't even occur to me to return my newly purchased clothes to fund car repair! I guess it was not meant to be, since you obviously had doubts about them.
Slight OT - I was going to comment that used to live in Canada (in Montreal though) but never heard of "that store". It turns out however that they are part of Laura which I'm of course familiar with.
