Some recent(ish) outfits - YouLookFab Forum

Hi guys,

I've been slack lately and not able to take pics of work outfits. I have received some of my NAS goodies and have queries about my suit for job interviews, so there will be more to come....maybe on the weekend, but here's some outfits I've worn but not yet posted...

1) Shopping outfit

You can't see the detail, but these are skull and crossbones, not dots on this dress/tunic. Until this outfit I've always thought of it as a "tough" item - not any more!!

2) Casual weekend outfit

Eeek this threadless tee is too short for jeans on its own isn't it? Or maybe its how I'm standing? Can't remember!

3) Obi wan

This is the cardigan where I feel like Obi Wan. I love it!! This has become my go-to weekend outfit!! Note the blue nails - I thought I'd copy Angie's signature colour - I quite like it actually!!!

4) Work outfit

This top was given to me by a friend whose sister gave it to her as a hand-me-down. Its a faux wrap, banded knit top. I was suprised to really like it - I think it gives me a false waist that I don't have. It gapes a bit up at the shoulders, but I just love how comfy it is!

Tam, awesome week! I adore the first outfit - so cool and hip! O.K. second outfit looks good except you are right about that shirt being too short - it makes you look hippy (which you are not at all). The last two outfits are great - comfy & stylish!

Hi Tam, awesome outfits as usual. You always look so comfy and effortless, that's something I am trying to work toward. Love the first one, esp. the colors - I see what you were saying about brown boots in my boots thread. Great layering overall, and the Obi-Wan style works so well on you.

BTW do you have any pictures with the H&M red coat? I'd love to see how you style it

As I looked at your pictures I wondered again wht your 3 style words are? Were boho and chic in there? You seem to have some boho chic and that makes your outfits very interesting. I love your style and you are so beautiful.

Wow, gorgeous! I really love that the dots are secretly skulls and crossbones. It's still a tough item, it just has hidden toughness.

I also love the outfit with the Obi Wan Kenobi sweater. Nice!

Wow, I love all of these! Yes, I agree that the tee shirt is a tad too short. You are so beautiful! My fave is the Obi Wan, love that one. I also really like how you mixed up the first outfit with tan boots. I would never think to do that, great idea!

Thanks all for your very kind comments!!! I am glad the first outfit meets with approval - I really like it too! Pairing these tunic with less tough items has made it alot more versatile for me. Marianne I'm glad what I said about the brown boots make sense - wearing light, casual boots is what really makes this outfit I think! I am sososo glad I bought these boots in SF, they have been a true wrkhorse for me this winter!!!

For the second tee, I might try it again and not lift my hands up. Hopefully that'll give me a better idea of whether its to short or not.

I have worn the H+M coat to work a lot, mainly just thrown over whatever else I was wearing that day. It's still too cold here at nights to wear it by itself. In a week I'll be moving departments at work and should have some more time again.....stay tuned!!!

San I don't think I ever picked 3 style words for myself. I would be delighted to think boho and chic were 2 of them though. Relaxed might be another? Not sure!!

Hi Tam! It's good to see you. I totally understand life getting so crazy, it can be hard to post.

My favorite outfit is the banded top. Looks great, even better that it was a swap. Nice! My second favorite is the obi wan sweater look. That screams Tam to me and looks very smart.

The t-shirt is a little short in casual weekend. I don't know that changing arm positioning is going to provide enough length. I love the jacket over the top of that t, though.

Tam, excellent outfits, as usual! I fall in love a little more with that jacket everytime I see it. I did see something of the same model in a few stores but the puff on the sleeves makes me a bit wary. I WANT that skull and bones tunic!!! I remember wearing a skull and cross bones bindi when in college - people thought I was part of a cult or something LOL (this was more than 10 yrs ago)

And your obi wan outfit is very simply awesome. You just pushed me over the edge into dedicatedly looking for a wrap/cascading cardi.

Thanks Alecia! I love the little grey jacket too. It was a cheapie from Target but the sleeve length works well for both my job and Australian weather! I saw the same style in Target a few months later in purple corduroy and I was so tempted to duplicate!!!!

Heheh Niva well if I grow out of the Skull and Bones tunic I will send it your way. You can't tell in the photo, but it is a bit on the tight side for my liking. Let's hope I can go to the gym enough to prevent that!! The cascading cardi is also from Target (I swear more than half my tops are). I heart Target!!!!

What a great week. The obi Wan outfit is my favorite. You look like a model in a fashion magazine.
