Slouch/Draped Trousers - Do you think they would work for me?

I am thinking of other alternatives for our warmer weather and there seems to be alot of soft draped pants around right now. They really take my fancy as something a bit different for warmer weather especially in lovely soft fabrics.

I've included pictures of some that I am considering, but I am not sure if I could pull them off alright being a vertically challenged hourglass. Also I would want to wear them casually as well, as you can see all the pictures are wearing heels with them and I would like to wear flat or sandals. Do you think this would look ok as long as I stick to nude flats?

I'm no expert but it seems like they look best when wearing at least some heel or wedge.

Such cute styles, totally see these as a stylish alternative to crops or clams! I agree with Joy that even just a slight heel/wedge would look better than a flat.

They look so comfy! Is there any store where you can try them on with flats?

......these might be the answer to my around the house lounging pants (but only if they look good with slippers, lol).

Hi Karen, I think #2 and #3 could potentially work with flats or sandals. #3 have a very similar line to skinny jeans and #2 look like a straight leg pant. #1 being cropped might not be the most flattering for short girls like us I would go and try some on, definitely worth a look.

Adding a heel is a good idea. Another thing that will work is to cuff or scrunch the pants up to clamdigger length (above the widest part of the calf) which is very flattering with a slouchy leg. You can get away with lower shoes then.

I purchased a pair this season. Even though I like them a lot, i didn't get a chance to wear them often because they didn't look polished enough for work, imo. I am just putting out there.

Love the look of the drapey pants. I agree with Deborah -- the longer ones might work with flats, and the cropped style with heels. It'd be great if you could try some on with flats and post some pics

I love these (I'd like that second pair for myself!). I think these could work, but I agree about how even a teeny heel would optimize the look. Seems like the drape and fit of pants like these are critical elements to making them work.

I think nude flats are not going to do the trick. There's something funny about nude flats. They kind of make me feel like I am barefoot, like I forgot to get dressed. Even a small heel, like this Cole Haan wedge, really helps the look.

I think the cut of the 2nd one has good potential for you, and could be worn with flats or a very small wedge if you didn't want to wear a full heel.
