Sliver wedge boots..your thoughts?

Piperlime sent me an email featuring the new (?) 'sliver wedge' style? Has anyone seen these up close? The lower heel height is really appealing to me, and the wedge seems more bad weather practical. They look loose in the ankle area though, and I think I'd like something more fitted there...

your thoughts?

It looks like there is a lot of variety within the "silver wedge" category and I suspect they all fit differently -- so you might be able to find one with a more fitted ankle. I like the lower heel wedge -- it seems very practical.

I love sliver wedges, exactly because they are comfy but still are a bit more feminine looking than flat boots (which I love too). Also, the wedge ones just have a bit more of a modern look to them. The flat ones look classic.

They are so many options, I'm sure you can find one that fits you really great if you want to try something new!

I saw some very cute ones on that page. My eye is adjusting to the sliver wedge more now. As was said above you'd probably have to find just the right pair for you with the perfect fit at the ankle. Not so easy to do through the mail.
Are you considering these for wearing in the rain? The suede is really pretty but Angie said she doesn't wear suede in the rain. I don't know why I especially like the suede with the sliver wedge.

haha...i totally read the title as "silver wedge boots" and had a very strange vision in my head of some quasi-futuristic gogo boots! sliver wedge boots sound much more palatable! i think they are nice looking. would they fit into your wardrobe? they're a little boho. how about the bcbgirls one - petler? they look very chic! and the color would be perfect with your wardrobe!

I'll admit that "silver" wedge in my first post was not a typo -- it was apparently too early in the morning for me to see that it said "sliver" -- like Shell, I thought of some kind of sci fi boot and didn't understand why the name applied to the boots shown!

I believe Angie sports a pair of sliver wedge boots and says they're extraordinarily comfortable.

Like shell I first read silver and had a strange mental picture. They all look comfortable and more stable than heels on slippery surfaces.

I had the same typo thoughts as you guys, but I figured it was just the email...until I checked the sight

I'm looking for my first pair of boots, so I'd like them to be uber functional. Then I can delve into the more specialized looks. (like this one, which I LOVE:

I probably don't have to worry that much about snow and rain...I'll be walking on sidewalks and parking lots that have been shoveled, right?

Shell--I was thinking the same thing initially...especially with that first boot catching your attention. I think that the 'pelter' would probably fit into my style best. I just wish it had a bit more stitching around the top of the foot or ankle area. I saw that on another boot and liked that it made it different, but was still understated.
