sleeve length question

Hi, I just got this cardigan which has 3/4 length sleeves.

I really like the way it looks, but I'm trying to figure out what I'll wear it with before I make it a "keeper". My question is, if I wear a long sleeved shirt under it, do I have to scrunch up the sleeves so they don't show? Or, can I only wear short sleeved shirts with it? That would be more limiting for me.

I think this is one of those "you gotta experiment with it" issues. I do have 3/4 sleeve cardis that I have successfully worn with long-sleeve woven shirts and somehow it worked. Key was that the shirts had major statement cuffs - I could roll/flip the cuffs up, or wear them down:

(This outfit actually looks a *lot* better when I belt it... because the sweater is kinda loose and shapeless if not belted... but it gives you an idea)

Not so sure about a long-sleeve knit top; but one with a pattern could be interesting. You'd have to play around, I think

I agree with Shiny, i think it can work with both longer sleeves showing and shorter ones, depending on the item itself.

Good question! I just bought a wool cardigan from JCrew that has 3/4 length sleeves and I was wondering the same thing about it.
