Based on our previous conversation regarding skirt shoes, here are several options that come in my size/width:

What are your thoughts? I want something as versatile as I can possibly get. My favorite color is the Sofft Adara in red, but I wear so much red that I wonder if a different color would be better for contrast. Unfortunately, in my width there aren't many color choices available.

Hi Becky, with respect to the red Sofft, I can't figure out the shade or red. It doesn't look very bright, but rather rusty/wine or some such shade, can that be? If so, and since you say you wear a lot of red, I would not pick that shoe if the shade of red in your clothes is a bright rich red. I think that would clash. (But I think it's fine to do red shoes if you also wear a lot of red, IF the shades are the same, similar or complementary. Red might just be your signature color You'd want to make sure you accessorize in different colors, though.) Is that helpful?

Your link to the Bali silver flat is the same as the Selene one, can you send the correct one?

Antje, I actually have a number of different shades of red in my wardrobe, from true red (what I think of as "cherry red") to cooler shades of red similar to the sandals. I would say that red is my signature color! Though I love the sandals in red, I'm thinking of steering away from that color, though, because the white would be so much more versatile.

I'm partial to flats, and I also kind of want you to get them so you can tell me how they are!

As far as looks go, I think those and the Sofft sandals are definitely the prettiest, and I really like white shoes for summer. It remains to be seen what is most comfortable though. Those metal rings along the instep always dig on me as I walk. I think the flats look the most comfy.

Love those flats! Silver is a great color and will look nice with your red things (and with many others).

I should be open about my biases, though: I'm very partial to flats in general, and I personally don't like white shoes so much. It's just a matter of taste (I get the versatility), so just take it as a thumbs up for the flats rather than any actual concerns about the sandal choices

The Sofft Adara look much better in red than white, IMO. But I'm like Antje and am not a big fan of white shoes. But I love them in red. I agree w/Antje though, that matching reds is difficult--so I'd skip the Adara. (though if red wasn't your sig. color, then those would be my favorites.)

I'm more of a heel girl...but of the three remaining, my preference for skirts are the ballet flats. I like the other sandals, but I think the flats will look better with skirts. I also like the silver. Here's a thought. Since the ballet flats cost about half of what the other sandals cost, would you consider buying 2 pairs of them (if they're comfy.)? This would give you alot of options when getting dressed in the morning-and rotating the shoes would help them last longer.

My first choice would be the Adara in red, I saw them IRL and they are pretty dark red with cool undertone ( cherry? wine?). But white may go better with your wardrobe. I love those silver flats as well.

I like the silver flats first, and the Adara second. None of the sandals look comfy to me, which is why I’m partial to the flats.

I am not a fan of clunky sandals, even if those aren't considered clunky to some of you. I live in hot, sunny California, and I guess it makes me minimalist when it comes to sandals. They are definitely better than the other ones you posted - great work - but I am such a flats girl. If you choose them, please update us on how they worked.

I *finally* got the silver flats (after a delay in shipping my order). They were *almost* perfect: they fit well, were wide enough, didn't pinch or rub, didn't slip in the heel, and looked very classy. There was only one problem: the toe box was so shallow that I could see the outline of my big toes through the tops of shoes. I am certain that if I had kept them and worn them, it would have deformed the shape of the shoe over time. So...I was forced to return them. I have never had that problem before. Is that an issue with the lower profile ballet flat-type shoes?

No, I didn't have toe cleavage. The toe box (from insole to the top of the vamp, vertically) was so shallow that the outline of my big toes "poked up" and made noticable (to me) bumps in the vamp. While I don't think anyone else would have noticed at first, I felt that over time the shoes would become unattractively deformed, so I gave the shoes a pass.
