skinny pants for curvy/plus sized gals

I've recently purchased some new boots & would love to be able to wear them to work with pants instead of skirts. I'm looking for suggestions on business casual skinny pants I can wear to work (I teach Kindergarten). $50 is about my limit.

AFA build, I'm a bit on the tall side (5'8") & I can usually shop from both the plus sized & regular section. I'm also slightly pear-shaped. I'd prefer to buy in person as opposed to online.

I wear Not Your Daughter's Jeans ponte skinny pants with boots for business casual. They are a bit over your price limit but do go on sale: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/no.....tback=2396

I am also on the plus size/regular size intersection and these come in size 16 and 18.

These have been the only business casual skinny pants I've been able to find in my size. I'd love to hear others' suggestions too!

Does your definition of business casual include smart denim, or is that totally out for your environment? If it isn't, take a look at Ralph Lauren skinny jeans -- I adore mine, but they've held up beautifully and are cut well for women with hips. I am plus-sized and generally not overly comfortable with skinnies, but I love these. Again, though, they're a bit over your price range. I haven't had much luck finding decent pants in my size at that particular price point.

Sorry for the late response. I can't surf at work. Jeans are not allowed except on Fridays & I do have a few pairs of skinny jeans for Fridays.

Today I saw several shades of stretch poplin skinny pants at Gap, in the sale section. With the 40% additional off they had on sale items, they would be well in your budget. Gap is usually long enough for me (5'9") when I wear flats.

My best fitting pair of black ponte pants skinny enough for boots came from Fashion Bug of all places. They carry both regular and plus sizes.

The quality isn't the greatest, they were only 17 dollars! I had to trim a lot of hanging threads but they have been holding up pretty well.
