While at The Bay last night returning the white eyelet Cons, I wandered around a bit looking at this and that. I ended up in the Olsen Europe section. For those who are unaware, this is a higher end brand out of Europe that sells in Canada exclusively through The Bay.

My relationship with Olsen Europe has been up and down over the years. There are seasons where honestly, their stuff has been hideous. They tend to be overly embellished and "busy" and for the most part, marketed to a slightly older woman - at least that has been my experience.

But in the last year I have purchased two items from their line that I adore - the silk jewel patterned sleeveless shell and my "foxy" tee. The quality is impeccable and these pieces will have longevity in my closet and wardrobe.

Looking at what's starting to trickle in for their Fall 2014 line, I have fallen hard for a few pieces - they are more current, a big emphasis on black and white (whoo hoo!) and have both body con and drapey/arty pieces. And their jackets are divine. Below are items that I saw last night and a few that I actually tried on.

Pic #1 - indigo blue knit moto style jacket with leather trim
Pic #2 - absolutely gorgeous (picture doesn't do it justice) soft drapey cardigan. Reminded me of Eileen Fisher. Tried this on and loved it.
Pic #3 - casual trouser
Pic #4 - sleeveless sheath dress. Also tried this on - fabulous jersey knit that feels and drapes exactly like my EF drape front dresses. Skims over lumps and bumps.
Pic #5 - mixed media cream and grey bomber style jacket.
Pic #6 - quilted black collarless jacket. Tried this one and REALLY wanted! Looks like leather but isn't.
Pic #7 - waxed pencil skirt. Again, looks like leather but isn't. Doesn't have that "sticky" feel that waxed fabric can have. Gorgeous.
Pic #8 - fab black and white graphic tee. The back is solid black and it has a slight hi-lo hemline. Tried this on - semi tucks perfectly.

Once I look to replace any items in my wardrobe, I may be turning to this brand a bit more.
