should i keep this jacket?

Hi, I'm finally getting motivated to start cleaning out my closet and wanted to get your feedback on this jacket. I've had it for a couple of years. Will this work with jeans? I usually wear it with brown wide leg pants that i have, but since I'm not working I need to expand my casual wear! Thanks for your input.

Definitely a keeper. Wear it with jeans and a top in a color that pops, with the top peeking out underneath. Great jacket!

Keep! Definetly works with jeans. Try it with a blousey-blouse that has a pop of color or even a pattern...

I guess I am not sure what to wear under it. I like the idea of a 'blousey' blouse, but not sure how to work that. At the moment the ONLY thing I wear it with is a red v-neck sweater that I have. So, if you all have any more possible options - that would be great. Also, do you think I could wear it with a skirt? If so, what type of skirt? Remember - I'm usually pretty casual and a pear so I'm not big on pencil skirts.

Yes! You could def. wear it with a skirt. How about a dark denim skirt? Or one of those funky A line Boden skirts?

Have you ever tried it with a turtle neck sweater??

Yes! I'll be there for sure. Looking forward to having some goodies as I'm starting a 28 day 'detox' on Monday and pretty much everything I love (including caffeine) will be forbidden!

Juli, you could always wear it with a button down under the jacket. You could also wear a tie neck blouse to add interest. Do you wear orange? Orange and brown would be great for the fall.

Dani - thanks for the suggestion of orange. I love orange and I have a BR sweater from last year that might work under it. I think my fear with the button down is that I would need to 'tuck in' the shirt and I don't like that look on me. I'm still struggling with the whole button down look - i like the way the JCrew ones look so maybe I'll have to try those on for size.

I love that jacket and think you could do a lot with it. I envision something classic and structured, like a turtleneck or button down. I could envision it with one of the rich purples or burgundies being shown for fall.

Ooooh mustard would look really nice with it too....

You know, it's a pretty neutral jacket--so I think just about any color would work under it. I esp like Tanya's suggestion of turquoise and Kyles's suggestion of burgundy. Black would also work--but not everyone likes black as much as I do. If you did wear black under it, you could add some color with a scarf--or with your bottoms. It might be a good way to wear a colorful skirt!

Wow - lots of great suggestions! I didn't even think about purple/burgundy or black or turquoise/teal. I like ALL of those colors and am going to try to put some things together and show you all how it works.
