Thanks guys!
Joy & Kellygirl - They are comfortable. In fact I'm perpetually on the hunt for small heel cute shoes and was surprised when I came across them during the latest purge.
Deborah - I agree they do fit well with my style. But you're also right - if I have had them all this while and never worn them, there is a message there somewhere. Personally I do think they're dated too and while in good condition, they somehow do not make my heart sing. No, I have never ever worn them. Not once.
I think I'll give them one month. I like the idea of wearing them with ankle length pants and rolled jeans; I rarely ever wear these 2 styles but I intend to do more often because the few times I did, I felt good.
I'll consciously give them a shot the next few times I go out. If they don't work and I end up swapping them for another shoe, I do think it's time for them to go too. I started this year with 100 pair of shoes and thats far far far too much. I don't know how I let things get so bad. Plus all my shoes stay in perfect condition coz I store them inside shoe bags which then go inside the original shoe box. After I wear a shoe, I wipe it clean and put it back in place. So honestly, my shoes rarely ever show signs of wear as I also always match shoes to outfits so I hardly ever wear a pair more than once a month (if at all).
I consciously want to remove anything I don't wear. I have come down to 70 pairs as I donated 30 pairs that were either just 'sitting' shoes or had heels too high for my casual lifestyle. This might be a slow process but I'm determined to have no more than 20 Summer pairs and less than 10 pair of boots by the end of year and give them all lots and lots of wear.
I wear only boots and sneakers for winter. I think the current number is 25 pairs for that. Rest are all summer flats, heels and sandals.
I appreciate your honesty.
