I'm certainly not an expert on this look. A lot would depend on the particulars of the clothes you pair with it. I could see these working and they suit your style.
It seems to me that this length boot would work with skirts . If I remember correctly, Patience and maybe a few others was looking at Doc Martens that were about that length to wear with skirts.
