Never did I think I would have succumbed to Imelda-itis, but I decided to take the advice that shoes are some of the most important investments in your look. And just in the past month or so, I've begun a really nice collection! It makes me so happy to look at my shoes (I came from a real shoe-poverty situation), and to know that I also have so many more opportunities to put together cool outfits.

Also in the past few months I got two pairs of tall boots and some Mia short boots, and some Fluevogs.

Apart from the Giveable and Fluevogs, everything was pretty well discounted. I definitely feel like my money was well-spent.

This is the ONLY place online or elsewhere would I be bragging this. I feel kind of over-the-top, but I wanted to catch up quickly from having almost no shoes to having a nice assortment...which I feel like I do now! There may be a few more pairs I need/want, plus a warmer weather collection, but I'm really happy now and starting to take them out for a spin!

I actually have a wardrobe now, and can piece together many casual but chic outfits. I'm happy to get dressed in the morning.

Mochi - I think you've spent your money extremely well! These are all fabulous shoes and give you so many options for outfits. Well done!

I really love the Born Dublin red patent flats - how are they comfort wise across the top of the foot? I've had that problem in trying on flats but really want to get a pair or two for more casual wear.

What a great selection, Mochi! I used to only have two pairs of shoes at a time: comfortable walking shoes and one pair of black heels. Like you, I decided it was time to create a fun assortment and am so glad I did...although I didn't go about it as thoughtfully as you did.

Shannon, I haven't worn the Dublins out yet, but they don't give me the usual problems I've had with flats (pain in the toebox area), so I'm hoping they're going to be fine. The Carterets fit amazingly (even a 3" heel is high for me, usually).

Now I have to waterproof all of these so I can actually wear them....

Great shoe collection! I love your red flats! They will go with everything--red is a great neutral. I am the same way--my shoe and boot collection exploded! But I've been pretty happy with pretty much everything I've added. And shoes can last pretty much forever...I have some black knee high boots I've had for over 15 years and I'm still wearing them.
Great job! But I'm warning you, this is only the beginning, Mochi...

What a gorgeous collection, congratulations! They all look like great investments, you've chosen wisely. I love those oxfords, I don't know that I'd get much use out of them in my climate but I shall live vicariously through my fellow YLFers. Isn't it awesome to go to the closet and getting to *choose* which pair to wear for the day?!

This really is a nice variety! Congrats on the shoe collection. Years ago I went through a phase in which I wore the same shoes nearly every day, and all my shoes were black. Wow, what a far cry from today! Many days I start choosing my outfit by deciding which pair of shoes I want to wear,

Plus, haven't been into heels in a while (these are more comfortable than others I've worn). It is NICE to suddenly be 3+ inches taller and that much leaner-looking!

Great choices! I understand about shoe buying. I've invested a lot in shoes this year as well. I remember posting my shoes a year ago and most people here said, "Get rid of all but that one pair... replace the rest." Eek! But ok.... that's what I did.
