Hi all, sorry to not be around so much. I thought I'd try to dive back in by getting some advice.

(skip to the end if you don't want the saga) Some of you may remember that we were supposed to go to Holland for sabbatical this spring. That didn't pan out because of a long-term illness that my son has been suffering from. The good news is that we think we're getting it sorted out - iron and Vitamin D deficiencies brought about by a poorly timed extended virus that kept him inside during May-July and reduced his appetite. Anyway, now he's on supplements and seems to be doing much better. We're going to reward ourselves from dealing with all the stress (and take advantage of the fact that we're both on leave this spring) by yanking the kids out of school for 3 weeks and traveling to England/France to visit family during March-April.

I'm starting to think about what to pack and am worried about foot wear. I'd like something stylish but comfortable. The weather will still be quite cool (highs in the 40s-50s, so socks are required). My cons are not comfortable for extended periods, so I was thinking about these Josef Seibels in some color or another. These happen to be metallic and seemed rather fun.

Thoughts? Other suggestions? I would probably also bring a pair of booties or boots but I am on Team Pack Light.

Thanks!
