Shoe suggestions.

Goodmorning!
I am starting to scout the web for nude pumps, which are in my list for Spring.
I was looking for something like this:

But then I found myself attracted to these:

Keep in mind I am a sucker for all things '70, and the above shoes are almost identic to the ones my mom wore for her wedding in 1973. Plus, I bet they are comfortable. I need them for everyday for the office.

What do you think?

They're pretty but are they comfy? Cole Haan and Rockport have comfortable heels with lots of padding, provided your feet don't have any special needs. I'd probably go with something lower if it were for day-in, day-out wear, just for foot and tendon health.

i think either pair would serve you well...70s fashion is trending now, so i think the second pair would be now and modern...but the 1st pair is classic and very neutral (& very kate middleton)

I love the Clarks shoes. You do seem to be able to wear heels and so as long as the height is not too high for your comfort, I think these are totally fab and would look amazing on you.

I much prefer the chunkier heel.
You'd need to see the colors on your leg to see if they are "your nude"

I just have this weird thing about Michael Kors (especially his Michael by Mk line). Maybe it's because he's just so ubiquitous, I don't know; but I really just feel like most of his MbMK stuff is all something I've seen elsewhere (and generally it's done better elsewhere)

Don't get me wrong, I like the man himself. He was so freaking great on Project Runway; so much snarkier/funnier than Zac Posen (love Zac too but MK could come up with some ZINGERS)

Now, back to the shoes. Aesthetically, if you're into the 70s then the Clark's chunky heel shoe just looks a bit more like it would go with that.

I would be concerned that the first pair is too high-heel for an office environment. Not just because they could be more uncomfortable, but because of the entire look. Do you have a dress code?

The second pair of pumps is lovely. I would prefer them without the gold detail, but all in all they look lovely. I think I'll actually go and try them on if I see them anywhere, since I have nude pumps on this year's wish list, too.

I think it's important to get the right colour of nude. Some nudes go better with your skin tone than others. For example, pinky nudes don't look good on me but the more yellow ones do.

Both styles look good to me but I do prefer a chunkier heel.

Thanks for the wisdom!
I was almost thinking of buying both pairs since shipping and returns are free, to check the color and comfort.
I prefer the Clarks and I am not concerned about the height (my winter boots are that height), but the vamp: that's often the trickiest part for me.
We have no dress code, only we must wear lab shoes in the lab, so that's not a concern.
I'll report to you with my buy!
