YIKES! Your experience is a good cautionary tale. I hope your poor foot is better soon. Sad about your lovely sandals

Ouch! So sorry about your injury and your beautiful - but - unwearable shoes. Take care and recover soon. No doubt your skills will ensure that you stay fashionable and fabulous even as you adjust to increasingly fussy feet.

Oh yikesy. I'll remember that!

Yeowch! You poor thing.

When I was younger I had a "break in my feet to the shoes" mentality and actually put up with this kind of agony. No more!

Yowza! I've never heard of such a thing.

How horrifyingly scary! Glad you were able to get an explanation from the ortho guy. What a shame.

Oh your poor feet Shannon! I'm glad you were able to get a clear description of the issue so you (and by proxy us!) can avoid it in the future. Hope everything heals up quickly.

Shannon, I'm so sorry! That sounds so painful. I'm glad you at least were able to get advice from someone who knows what's going on, so that this hopefully won't happen again. My goodness, who would have thought something like that could happen from a shoe just not being wide enough?!

Oh Shannon, I am so sorry for you poor foot! I hope it heals quickly.
Bummer about the sandals but healthy feet are worth more that all the cutest sandals in the worls put together. I am sure you will find a good replacement for them.
Hugs!!!

that is just so not right!! thank you so much for the explanation from the ortho. I think we're all grateful for the warning of what shoes can do - it doesn't sound like they gave you any trouble while they were on. That's so darn upsetting. I'm sending good thoughts your way and sure hope you heal up quickly!!

Oh my word - from a shoe??? Poor you!!! Hope it heals quickly. I LOVE those shoes too

Dang! And those shoes were so very pretty. That is shoe sadness indeed.

Poor foot Hope you are okay. So sorry about the shoes.

Shannon I must go back and check which shoes these are. You poor darling, hope this heals up quickly. I know you have foot trouble but this seems extreme. Any change of returnin the sandals. Do you think they would do a return on the basis of the shoes have been very mean to you foot!

Oh WOW. Cautionary tale for sure! Hope you heal quickly!

I've never had this happen nor have I ever even heard of it - how awful! Hopefully this will never happen to you again!

What an ordeal! I hope your foot heals up. Killer shoes for sure. I wouldn't have known to watch out for that.

Oh no! Best wishes for a super-speedy recovery!

Ok, that just stinks! Poor you! What a lousy thing to happen to such a cool person. I have a hurt right foot at the moment too, so we are foot pain twins, sigh. I wish you a fast and easy healing process, as we bid a "good riddance" to the lovely but lethal Fugitives.

: ( I hope your foot will be feeling better soon. What a bummer.

Boo hiss! So sorry to hear about this, and I hope it heals very quickly!

Thank you all so much for your sympathy. My foot is actually feeling pretty good tonight (it's 8:30 pm here) and the swelling is nearly gone. I'm lucky that I didn't wear the shoes longer and there wasn't a rupture.

So in the end everything will be ok other than I will now need to hunt for a new pair of shoes which I'm sure you can help me with

Oh how unfair! Anyway Tanya bought these a while ago and I had my sister bring me a pair and they are super comfortable and have gotten a lot of compliments:

Oh dear, Shannon that's awful! It's good to see that you are ok though! And I hear you when it comes to shoe frustrations. I've been mourning my days as a heel-wearer and having a difficult time adjusting to flats. But in the end, it's worthwhile to choose our health over a particular aesthetic right? Life's too short!

If you ever need to commiserate (or have a cheerleader) on foot-related issues, I'm around! The important part is you're ok!

Gah! I'm so sorry, Shannon. I'm sooo glad to hear that the tendon didn't rupture. Oh, these foot issues! I'll be in the club with MsKatieKat if you ever need to commiserate.
