I hope you all don't mind but this is really helping me to stay on task .. I almost gave up after just doing my sleeveless tops ...
Picture are :
1)Kept only three tops for holding zone 2) hangers from discarded tops !
3) what I have now - still an awful lot .

What I learned
I have too many black sleeveless tops but the ones I kept all have slight variations that I like .. One is longer and good with leggings , one is good for under sweaters .. Etc... Etc

I need more colorful tops that are flattering
It seems to be the smallest details that make the difference for me in flattery . Nice shape or big square box on top!
I need a white shirt - mine are in poor shape . One I will try to bleach but the others went. I do really like a white collar next to my face . My favorite one is a slight ruffle ( hoping it bleaches !)

I may get rid of more but a good start.
I think scarves next !

Wow, look at how much you purged! And how judicious you were with the items for your holding zone. You closet looks great.

I didn't get to do a closet purge this winter due to a bathroom remodel. I'm very impressed with your purge. However, I think that you should only wear colors you're attracted to. Don't force yourself into colors that don't seem to come naturally to you. If that means you wear a lot of black, then so be it.

Jaileen - thank you, black will always be a part of my wardrobe but I am finding as I get older that it isn't as flattering by my face.

Scarves are almost sorted. They are harder. I love textiles and they all fit !

i did the same this past march and april...it was like a weight lifted...lol

dont bleach the white...try oxi clean first...or better yet, try soaking it in biz or borax....i have found that bleach has a tendancy to yellow white clothing...lesson learned...
