I love everything San, it looks amazing! I wish I had each and every piece in my wardrobe! You have such fab sense of style, and great body to pull everything of. I'm sure Angie will use her trademark KILLER again

Oh Tanya thankyou for the validation. I am a newbie at fashion and appreciate the help whether positive or negative.
I don't know why the last photos are not showing but you can see from the first one how slouchy the boots are. I haven't previously ventured into the boots territory so need all the help I can get.

San, great purchases! The only one I'm not sure I would keep is the second sweater (the brownish taupe one). I LOVE the SW shoes! I'm no help on the boots but if you don't mind the slouchy look, I think they look nice.

You wear skinnies SO well! I also want that Coach purse, it's fab!

Yes I do have doubts about the sweater also. I didn't like it at all when I first tried it on, but now it is starting to grow on me. I think I wanted someting that was more figure flattering, which this isn't.

The sweater is more of a voluminous thing San, I believe it takes one's eye some time to adjust. I have similar ones and find that I like them the best when layered over very simple fitted tees/turtlenecks so that the sleeves and scrunched bottoms peek out. But of course it is your opinion that matters, so if you are not happy with it than you should take it back.

Yes I agree with you Tanya, the eye adjusts and I am starting to like it. I am a sucker for fine fabrics and this is so nice to the touch.

Thank you San! Great work. Here’s my 2 cents:

o Penny mocks are great! But if you keep the red Burberry trench, get another colour in the mocks. You’ll want to wear them together and it’s too matchy-matchy when they are both red.
o I’m sorry to be a pain, but I can’t see the boot-and-skinnies look well enough. I thought they’d be too wide at the calf area and they actually look it. But it might be the shadow in the pic. If they look like the pic you posted, they aren’t right.Perhaps you can take another photo?
o LOVE the bag!
o Theory shirt dress is KILLER
o White blouse and both sweaters are fantastic!

How do you feel San? Does this make sense ?

OMG, San, you look SO good! Pleeze keep at least these items:
-Frye boots
-skinny jeans
-the first sweater (black? v-neck)
-blue Coach bag

Everything else if fine too, but these are the things that I find just absolutely "wow!" on you.

San, you have an amazing body! I saw the Coach bag and the s/s sweater in person, they look great. I agree about layering the sweater over a l/s tee. I love the v-neck and the mocs on you.

I might be a dissenter, but I am not a big fan of those boots. I've seen them at the store and they look a little too rugged, and it seems like you're after a little more polished look.

Yes the boots are very loose and slouchy and I can only imagine they will become more slouchy with time. Let's see if I can post another pcture.

San, I love the Coach bag, the black sweater, the white blouse, and the Theory dress. I would keep all of those items. I would not keep the boots. They are too loose for you in the calf. I'm not a big fan of voluminous looks, so I'll withhold comment on the second sweater. I'm neutral on the SW mocs. You're really developing an eye for a look, and I can see your style evolving!

The boots do not fit well enough against your calf. They are gaping at the top and shouldn’t. They are for someone with a wider calf. Measure your calf and search for boots that are more or less that measurement. The “overall look” is great though. You are on the right track!

Maybe I should get the Burberry jacket in black and keep the red SW shoes. I had a pair of Doc Marten red shoes years ago that I loved and wore a lot. I think I like these SW shoes in red. If I get the Burberry coat in black it will go with my Coach bag also. I don't know, too many decisions. Do the red shoes and blue bag and black jacket go together? I'm very bad with colors. My mother is an artist and I did not get any of her talent.

NOOO NOOOOO, please keep the Burberry jacket in red San!!! I hadn't commented on your purchases on the other thread yet, but I'm completely smitten with that coat. I love everything about it, it's a gorgeous colour red, the cut is great, and you look so amazing in it.

I'm sure it will be beautiful in black too, but the red makes it pop and is extra special.
I really like the red shoes as well, but agree with Angie that they would be too matchy-matchy worn with the coat. If they weren't too expensive, I would consider duplicating them in black and keeping the red ones to wear with a different coat. Or you could try and find another pair of great black shoes...

What do you think San?

I can't judge about the boots (have no idea what works and doesn't work for skinnies), but I love everything else, and that includes the voluminous sweater!

I think that sweater is particuarly adorable on you! You have such amazing legs, it's okay to have something fuller and less form-fitting on top. It looks comfy too. Easy and effortless. I'd throw that on for a Sunday brunch, or to go see a movie, or just to walk the dog (if I had a dog, that is).

You do look great in everything, San! Thanks for posting pics. I love the handbag color...and when you find brown boots that will work, I think the combo of brown and blue will be awesome. I may be in the minority on switching to the black coat, but think it may be equally classy and allow you to wear those loafers...what color trench do you own? I like the shorter sweater too, it makes your legs look about 8 miles long :)! ( I mean that in a GOOD way!)

San, I LOVE everything but agree the boots don't fit well. From one rectangle to another, you are my fashion role model! This may sound over the top, but it's true. I have a similar coach bag in black and I love mine. I also want those sweaters! I really want you to keep the red jacket too, but maybe that's just because I've already seen it on you.

BTW, I had a very definite picture of you in my mind (probably the picture was from someone I actually know) and I would have sworn you would have short black hair. It's fun to see a little glimpse of the true you.

Upon seeing more photos, I agree about the boots, you need something that hugs your calves more closely. A similar style with smaller calf circumference woulf be great.

I still like everything else though, and please DO keep the red jacket, you look incredible in it!

Thanks for the help and the nice compliments.
I'll take the boots back and keep looking for another pair. Now I have a better idea of what to look for.
I'll have a look at the SW shoes in another color, since I want to wear them with my new red jacket. I might like them better in brown or black anyway.

Glad you decided to keep the jacket - it is so amazing on you. Looking at the Zappos reviews might be helpful to determine which boots have a narrow calf. I think there are even some made for narrower calves.

I’m with Judy. A black Burberry trench would be just as nice. But if you love the red one, get black penny mocks instead. Both combinations are stunning for you. Let us know which way you go.
