So after the very thought provoking conversations yesterday on Una's thread at http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....opping-ban, I decided that maybe I should try to go through EVERYTHING in my house and throw away/donate unwanted stuff. The idea was to make more storage space....so I could SEE everything I own.

It's only after I joined YLF that I realised the importance of being able to SEE everything. But since my closets are not big, I have real trouble with this. What's worse - I have very deep shelves so things that get stuck at the back become forgotten treasures. This was more common with my bags.

In any case, I decided to rearrange things in the hope that my bags would be more visible. For now, most clothes I want to wear are pretty visible.

What I found out is that I have over abundance of bed linen. How did that even happen?! I had a separate closet where I stored bedsheets, bedcovers, pillow cases and cushion covers but I decided to empty it out and put my bags in that so they were neatly on display (and more accessible). My bags are still stuffed in that closet, because I have 55! And that's just handbags! I still have more sling bags and clutches I don't have the energy to go through today. It's insane!

Also, the bed linen had to be divided up into categories to store coz I couldn't find sufficient space to keep it altogether (which I would have preferred. I spend my Saturday morning matching EVERYTHING as I change the sheets for both bedrooms. I chose a colour theme every week. Now it might be more cumbersome).

Honestly, I'm feeling very bummed and overwhelmed with how much stuff I have. It's piled on over the years but I really feel clueless as to HOW to organize better.

I think I'll have to just give away the stuff....no matter how much I may have loved it. Right now, the 'Simplify your Life' book Una mentioned sounds like what I need. What can I do? I've exhausted almost all storage options....I don't have more floor space to add anything new.
