I think my favorite pair of boots (and my only pair of knee high ones) are beyond repair. They are several years old, so I've gotten my money's worth out of them, but they are so comfortable that I hate to let them go. Last year, they got a hole in back of the heel of one. I never got it fixed and it has expanded. This week, the zipper pull of one snapped in half when I was zipping it up. It's such a small thing, that makes such a difference. I had to have the handyman pull the zipper down with pliers to get me out! So, the zipper would have to be replaced. The suede is very dirty, but they have also stretched out to the point where there is a gap at the top of the boot. I think it's time to replace them. I'm hoping to find something as comfortable and versatile. These are Clarks, so I am headed there first.
