Renewing the microcheck pants discussion

One of the things on my fall shopping list are microcheck pants. I've been pining for them since we started chatting about them last year! Two questions:

1) I am wondering if they will even be around this season. Any thoughts?

2) If they are in fact still relevant this year, where are they being offered? Anyone see any in their travels? I wear a 4/6 and have an inseam of 33" so most don't have the length I require.

Hi Marlene, I think that they are modern classic, like jeans, which are always relevant.

Oh thanks, Tanya! Those look pretty good. Although they don't specify the inseam on them in the description. I have to assume its their "regular" length which is 32" Maybe I'll send their CS an email and ask them to specify. If it is more than 32", I may be willing to pay FULL PRICE for them. Desperate times call for desperate measures!

The Armani Exchange ones are really cute! I like the sleek cut. Go for it Marlene. I also think they will remain classics.

Those M&O pants are cute, too. Has anyone else noticed that narrow-leg, cuffed pants are making a comeback this fall? I've seen a few around so far.

Laura: I've been seeing the exact same thing. I quite like the look, but I'm wondering if only ladies with very slim thighs can carry this off?

Ok ladies- if you're looking for micro-checks on the cheap, check out JC Penney's. Seriously- I just bought a pair in a brown pattern for $19.99. They also have the black/white pattern that looks just like the Club Monaco one from last year.

Oh thanks Miss Spaghetti. I love my micro check pants. They are a great break from regular denim for me. Those DVF are so nice but the price tag is so high to go with it. I'll check out Penny's. Thanks for the heads up on this one. Please post a pic.

I bet if you called, you could order it. I actually really like these pants. I have been wearing them each fall for years- in all different sizes and colors. They fit me well in both the waist and thigh, which is not always easy to find.

Okay, update: I checked out Armani Exchange yesterday and the pants that Tanya linked to are only available online. Bummer I've never worn their pants before -- but at least you can return in store. I did try on their skinny jeans to figure out what size to order in the skinny microchecks, and thought the fit was excellent. So I'm encouraged at the prospects for the "Tanya" pants.

So I emailed Armani Exchange CS to see what the inseam is on their microcheck pants and their response was to see the online size chart...no other information is available.

So that wasn't very helpful!

I am going to assume that they are "regular" which is 32 inches according to their size chart. This will be too short for me. The hunt continues!

I would seriously consider the JCPenny pants since they come in "tall" lengths. But they don't have size 6 available in the tall or extra tall sizes. But I think I will periodically check in on the site and see if they appear at a later date. That price is amazing!

I saw that Liz Claiborne has a pair for about $99 right now in a magazine I was reading. I dont have a link but i'll see if I can find them somewhere!

It's a small glen plaid similar to the CM one. It is however a flare leg which it seems Angie doesn't like so they don't seem very popular on this forum (though I happen to like them!). It wasn't much of a flare though. The fabric felt nice and it has some stretch AND it has a 33" inseam (and is on sale). Worth checking out if there is one nearby.
