Redo on outfit: better?

So I had paired this tunic with a pair of floppy boots* to a not-so-good effect (see thread, "Is this outfit age-appropriate?"). I came up with another outfit with the same tunic, adding some newly purchased leggings from Old Navy. I can see wearing this in the heat wave we're having right now in California!

*Thankfully, a friend has offered to purchase said boots from me, and I will diligently search for better fitting boots.

Cciele, I think this works *loads* better! Granted, I can't see the back, but this tunic looks like the perfect length for leggings (it covers everything but it's just short enough that you wouldn't want to wear it on its own.) I haven't mastered the look myself so take my comments with a grain of salt, but I think this looks very cute on you.

How are the Old Navy leggings? I'm hoping to find a pair that is pretty opaque and has a very comfortable waistband (preferably either a high waist or without elastic.) It looks like you have a good smooth line under your tunic so I'm hoping they are as comfy as they look. I'm testing out a pair from Macy's, but the ON leggings are about 1/3 the price!

Cciele, this is a great look on you! I think it is age appropriate but still youthful and current. It's such a versatile look. I can imagine you wearing this around town or on a trip to NYC or Paris.

Ah, welcome to the world of trying to find boots that fit you correctly. If you measure the widest part of your calf, you can then take that number and join the legions of boot shoppers unable to find a pair with a calf circumference within striking distance of that measurement...

Now you have such a cute outfit. Great job. And, like Kari, I'm also wondering about the ON leggings. Shiny has mentioned Forever 21 for leggings- can anyone give us a comparison?

Oh gosh, you guys, thanks so much for the vote of confidence! This will be such a nice outfit for hotter days; the tunic is so airy (and made of hemp, too).

Regarding the ON leggings (http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/.....#038;vid=1): I just got them today, so I can't comment on longevity or long-term comfort. However, here are a few of my thoughts:
- Weight: light- to mid-weight
- Transparency: I can see through them when I hold them up to the light, and when I wear light-colored panties can kinda of see them through the fabric. I'll be wearing tops that cover my rear anyhow, so not too worried about that (plus, I'll wear flesh-colored panties with them anyhow!).
- Stretchiness: Less stretchy than a pair of long black leggings I have. But just enough so it will mold over your curves yet hold your parts in.
- Comfort: Pretty comfortable, so far. I got a size S, and the waist might be a tad tight, but it doesn't bother me. Maybe a tiny bit of muffin top, but I won't be wearing anything that touches my waist.
