I could show her the trench and see what she thinks. She says the only alterations that are impossible to do are shoulder alterations--she says once the arm hole is cut to accomodate the shoulder seam, you can't make the arm hole smaller to adjust the narrower shoulder. So....if the jacket fits in the shoulder then she could take it in at the waist and shorten the sleeve for sure.
I think I'd be more inclined to wear it without the liner. It's a button in liner that does not have sleeves. It's a really well made coat. (and I got a screaming good deal on it--it was originally $230, it was 30% off, plus I got an additional 15% off for using my Macy's card--the total was like $130 or something ridiculous. But that is not why I bought it. I probably would have paid full price. I was so happy to see a single breasted trench in a color other than black, and with a removable belt.)
I guess I'll try the medium on w/out the liner and then make a final decision.
I'm so glad you like the shoes. I almost put them back, but then decided that I've been looking for closed toe pumps w/ a wedge heel for too long. I wish they were black, but I can work with brown, especially since it's not chocolate.
One more question. What do you think about Chuck T's that are a little less traditional? I saw two pair today that caught my eye. One pair was black with a dark grey tongue. The other were black with red stitching and a red stripe on the side of the white rubber sole. I'd like to get a pair of black or grey chucks--my other pair are baby blue and they are the kind that have no laces.
