Recs for short-inseam/petite flares

I've been browsing the NAS jean selection with an eye toward flares, but wow, some of the inseams are 6-8" longer than my own! For those needing a 29-30" inseam, what jeans would you recommend? Something soft with stretch and that retains its shape woul be ideal.

I am watching this thread because I really want a pair of flares but thru length is an issue for me. I used to wear heels when I wore flares in the 70's but can only wear flats or a one inch heel. Thank you for posting this.

I'm in the same boat, looking for flares but have a 29" inseam in flats and only wear 2" heels. I've been considering a pair of distressed boho flares at American Eagle, which has short sizes and the low rise that I prefer (although their rises are sometimes on the low side even for me). What I'd really like to find though is a non-distressed yet faded light flare that will still be flared--not bootcut--on me, meaning that a 6" hem job won't cut it.

Have you tried Banana Republic? I have had pretty good luck with their petite denim. They have these flares in petite, and there is usually a coupon floating around for 25-35% off.

YES, what Angie said! I am wearing the Paige petite bootcuts today!

It was weird, the first time I tried them I really liked the fit. Then I tried them again, to compare to another pair, and didn't think I liked them and was ready to return them. But I tried them again and realized that I love them! Crazy, right?

Anyway, they were still a bit long on me so I washed and dried them and the length is now perfect. They are a bit more flared than the pair I am replacing and I'm really liking the look.

Lucky Brand is always a good place to look - they always have flares and make them in different lengths.

I am 5/3" and got the Paige below. I can sport them with a low heel (1 1/2"). Too often, I have to go up to a 2 1/2" heel or higher with "petite" jeans.

Also, for other flares/bootcuts, Lucky Brand in the short inseam, fits me with a ballet flat or sneaker. Same for Gap.

Argh. Jeans are not something I can get above a certain price point because I wear out the fabric in the inner thighs, but I'm bookmarking anyway and maybe a cheaper pair will come along...glad you're enjoying them, Lisa.

I bought some Paige flares this spring - they might even be the ones Susie linked to. I love them. I had to have them hemmed and the waist taken in.

Not NAS, but I have and love these light blue Gap flares, no hemming required for me. Conversely, I bought these white Kut flares and had to have them hemmed significantly...which basically lost the flare

Another vote for the Paige flares Lisa and Susie mentioned! I'm 5'2" and I expect them to work fine with boots with a one inch heel in the fall/winter.
