Rainy outfit, April 1st

This is not an April's Fools joke.
Today I wore my wellies for the first time because it was drizzling outside. I can't say I felt awesome wearing them, but at least my shoes didn't get wet. To be honest, I felt a bit like Queen Elizabeth II, except I didn't have a scarf tied around my head or small dogs following me. I think the key to wearing wellies is to have an attitude like you have a pair of Manolo's on. What do you think?

You do look cute, especially with your sassy skinny belt, and the green sweater is so much fun.

I've been enjoying the Academichic outfits featuring wellies and umbrellas in the rain, too. Seeing all of you rainy girls have so much fun makes me a little less bitter about the Seattle area still being so wet, so today I tried to carry my pretty patterned umbrella with a smile.

Such a beautiful color to brighten any rainy day. The whole outfit, with the wellies, you just make it all look so effortless and pulled together. I especially like how the sweater seems to be of a very fine gauge, so easy to layer with.
