Questions on new micro stripe pants

I have asked about these Esprit pants a couple of months ago as an alternative to micro checks, and they received YLF seal of approval, so I recently ordered them. I am quite happy with them and have a couple of questions:

1. I am wearing them with my charcoal Converse in the photo, but I’d actually like a brighter color shoes for them. I would not match the top or anything else to the shoes. Considering the colors that I wear (cool) which of these colors do you think would be the best - Purple Passion, Royal or Carolina? I am already planning to get Maroon to go with my brown/cream hounds tooth pants.

2. Can I wear them with my silver Docs, or do the colors blend too much so I should stick to black boots?

3. I am saving to get these silver R&S skinnies, I have been wanting them forever. My question is are these redundant now that I have the Esprit pants? I tend to think not because Esprit pants are cotton and look very casual to me, while the jeans are denim and can easily be dressed up for smart casual and going out; plus the Esprit pants are striped while the jeans are not - but I am hoping that I am not just making up excuses.

Great pants! Here are my comments:

I think the charcoal Converse work great, but a brighter color would be nice as well. Love the purple and the royal; the Carolina seems a little pale. Have you considered the green? It would also look smashing I think.

Docs looks super with the pants!

LOVE the jeans and I think they are not redundant at all. It's a different look, and they look very Tanya, I hope you get them!

Hey Tanya, I love your Esprit pants. I'm partial to purple, so I vote for the purple Converse. :)
I think the Docs look fabulous over these pants.
And it doesn't look like the R&S skinnies are a duplicate of the Esprit pants at all, for the reasons you mentioned.

1. My choice is the Purple Passion converse. The Esprit pants look great!
2. I think the Docs look great with the pants.
3. I don't think the R&S skinnies are redundant. I agree that the Esprit pants are more casual than the jeans.

Tanya, I love your new pants. Great choice.
1 - without seeing anyone else's comments, I too went for the purple passion Converse. they are the best color (and have the best name, although I know that's not relevant!)
2 - Docs are fantastic with these pants
3 - no redundancy here. Esprit are much more casual.

Well, since I like the purple Converse the best as well, it seems that purple it will be. And the R&S silver jeans are staying on my 'to get' list. Thank you very much for your help!
