Question for Maya - and other petite boot wearers

I know I've heard a couple of people mention particular shaft heights for knee high boots for shorter ladies - what were those heights? Thanks - the perfect boot search continues, perhaps perpetually.

I'm just under 5'3" and I like 13"-14" for knee highs, but I think my lower leg may be shorter than normal. I have tried lots of boots to come to this conclusion.

You may have to experiment to find what works for you though.

My sweet spot is about the same as Donna's. I don't wear knee high boots directly below the knee, but anywhere from 1-3 inches. That's usually around 14".

Just to add: Most of my boots that are 14" or less are listed at 15". Frustrating, but don't rule out a pair just because they seem too tall. I have gotten pretty good at judging calf width and height from spending hours looking at pictures and comparing :\

Also consider what size the boot measurements were taken using- a 15' shaft height on a size 8 means that my size (5.5) will be about the right height for me (13.5-14 inches)

I like my boots to be 13 - 14 inches, measured from sole to top if that is the right way to do it, which hits me maybe an inch under the knee. Geez, then why is this so hard to find? I feel like I see shaft height listed as 14 inches all the time.
