Question for Maya

Maya, what was the name of that fabulous mall in NJ you were talking about once? I'm going to be in NJ while my husband attends a meeting and have a few hours to kill. Of course, with my budget, the only shopping I can do is the window variety. He's going to be in Princeton somewhere - what would be the best place to go that would not be too far away? If you are available, do you want to meet up?

Hi Shana. The mall is called the Short Hills mall. I don't think it would be all that convenient for you to get to though--it's pretty far away from Princeton. I live in north-east NJ and Princeton is central and not really close by. NJ is full of malls though(and diners). I will ask around and get back to you.

This one looks nice: http://www.marketfairmall.com/

I didn't see anything unique in the list of stores, but that's malls for you.

Thanks Maya - Short Hills, I'm going to have to remember that one. It looks like a fantastic mall but you are right, it's really too far for me to travel back and forth in the space of a few hours. Other than some trips to Edison with my parents when I was young and a college visit to Princeton when I was college hunting (I do kinda wish I took physics for poets instead of physics for engineers...), the only time that I am in NJ is on the turnpike! My plans depend a little on the weather - if it's good, I want to do something fun outdoors and if it's not, I will head somewhere indoors, quite possibly the closest mall. With two kids in two, my options are limited. I just wrote an email to one of my college friends who is now a Prof. at Princeton and am waiting to hear back about his availability. I always like to get info from "locals" rather than rely on just internet research which is why I asked.
