1) This blazer. It didn't get a lot of love when I posted it in WIWs (Pics 1-3).

2) This skirt. I don't know why I don't like it. It's not uncomfortable. I wouldn't object to keeping it around (Pics 4-6).

3) This dress. Also don't know why I don't like it. I haven't been reaching for it that much this year. I wouldn't object to keeping it around either (Pics 7-9).

4) This dress. Makes me feel big. Or my belly big. I haven't worn it since I bought it, which makes me kind of angry and anxious, especially since it's nicely made and I paid a fair bit for it. Can't return it, but makes me mad!!! (10 and 11).

I like all of these!

And the polka dot dress makes your curves stand out. Your belly does not look big, and I know a lot of guys who think that curve to a woman's belly is super hot. Try it with a topper at first if you need to ease into wearing it!

Too bad you are a smaller size than me (I think?) or else I would steal it!

Lyn- you have a real fashion flair and seem to go for the 10 and above outfit.
Given that, here's my take on your items (for what it's worth):

Blazer- Couldn't live without a black blazer, but since you have alternatives, this one could go. Something about it reads a little dated, particularly against your totally up to date style.
Skirt- Love it- especially with the stripes in number 4. Lots of possibilities here.
Dress- 7-9- It's cute, but not a complete showstopper like you do so well. I'd be curious to see it with a bright or light belt.
Dress 10 and 11- I think it is completely amazing on you. I like your stylings, and just on its own it is an "embrace your curves", yet refined and fresh look.

I'm like Ceit - I still really like all of these. Do you have space for a temporary "holding" zone? You could put them there and then if you honestly don't reach for them in the next six months, you could purge.

I love the polka dot dress on you and you don't have a belly! My guess is it's just a slimmer silhouette than you're used to wearing and it's out of your comfort zone.

I really like all of these too. It may be that the blazer feels a bit too long for some of your dresses but it will certainly work. Please keep the skirt, my favorite piece in your wardrobe! And both dresses look wonderful on you. At least put them in holding. We are close to the same size except that you have a waist.

Thanks ladies, I have finished my purge. There is a big black garbage bag ready to take to Sally Ann or Value Village (depending which one I pass first). A lot of my old dresses are very short and I'm not comfortable with wearing them to work anymore, even with tights. Maybe that's the transition from med student (even senior med student) to intern to junior resident?

I think the blazer looks better if I button it up, so I may save it for a button-up blazer to go with my pencil skirt that looks okay only with a topper :p

Also, Empire waists. Why did I buy these?

Ok, first of all, Lyn, you could not look "big" even if you tried. That polka dot dress is my favorite of these four items! You look smashing in it -- young and shapely and sophisticated and attractive. I think it's more grown up than a lot of your other twirly looks and it's outside of your comfort zone.

The blazer is my least favorite here. It seems to me you have better ones. The skirt is fab though -- keep! I could go either way on the rose print dress. It's nice but perhaps you're moving in a more sophisticated direction?

Lyn, the polka dot dress is a definite keeper. It hugs your curves in a very flattering way and I don't mind the little belly bulge at all.
The two skirts have large floral patterns and perhaps a little bit overwhelming on your petite frame.

Ditto above. Keep the dotty dress - you look divine- and maybe have a couple of de- bombshell options for comfort zone. Skirt seems versatile -- maybe try other stylings.
Your style is really evolving rapidly at this stage of your life & career and wardrobe is just getting better and better. If you can tolerate a certain amount of item and outfit repetition, you can focus on your fabbest " now" looks and allow yourself more turnover to keep current with your style and situation.
I was amazed to finally realize that I needed to allow myself more turnover than I thought, and I'm " established" ( but not in suspended animation!) You' re doing a super job of editing as you evolve.

I *love* that polka dot dress on you - just fabulous! Probably one of my all-time favourites on you. While it's polka dots, it's also one of the more sophisticated outfits/dresses I've seen on you, and you look amazing in it. Must keep! Looks beautiful with the cobalt blazer too. I am not Angie, but I'd say that polka dot dress (pics #10 and 11) are in K2K territory. Maybe even helmet-required territory

Adore the #2 skirt and the dotted sheath on you! You see your lovely curves in it but do not look big bellied in the least!
