Cycling style to me is cute but functional. I live in MN where the weather can change drastically when the sun goes down so layers are a must. A few close friends live a little under a mile away from me so I dusted off my bike from high school (the bike in my picture is borrowed from my friend) and began biking to their house almost daily rather than driving (which costs money and seems silly to do for such a close distance) or walking (which takes too long, especially when walking home after dark).

When I am biking I love to wear jeans or leggings on the bottom and a tank top with a sweater over it on the top. I always wear scarves (even in the summer!) and wear whatever shoes will go with my outfit. I used to be scared to wear heels but after a time or two of wearing them I got over it.

Minneapolis is making huge strides to make biking safer for everyone by creating bike lanes on the roads and an increasing amount of bike paths that makes bike commuting easier. I just got a new job in the city and I would love to be able to begin bike commuting in a great quality, chic, reliable and utilitarian bike that would turn heads.
