Potential Docs purchase - Joyce or Bentley?

I guess you all remember the Docs I thought about recently. This morning, Ceit linked me the same style as a boot instead of a shoe.

If I decide to buy one of these, which pair should I get? Do you think one style is more versatile than the other? Or just better looking?

This is purely theoretical at the moment because I'm not sure I'm willing to pay that much, but I know that I would find it difficult to decide on me own between these two.

Help me think it through?

Mm, hmm... tough choice! But I think I lean towards boot for extra versatility. Personally, I like the *look* of the shoe just a little more, it's that extra little bit more unexpected --- but I can't see the shoe with a dress as well as I can the boots; ditto with a fuller skirt; possibly also skinnies...

I really like the boots (in general and for you), Astrid. I feel it's a more modern and fun look that suits your lifestyle, and at the same time it also reminds the most of the iconic Dr. Martens boots. You could wear them with skirts, dresses, full-length jeans and cropped pants and boyfriend jeans, so pretty versatile methinks.

Thanks Manidipa! I'd definitely want the option to wear them with a dress or a fuller skirt, so that's important.

If I remember right you already have a pair of oxfords so for that reason I would choose the boots.

The boots look like fun Docs. The oxfords... to be honest, I never really liked them lol While I think the white sole totally works for the boots, it doesnt work on the oxfords, but that's just my opinion of course
