My reluctant nine year old son took this pic. It is in front of our rose garden which is in peak bloom it being spring here.

I chose a happy sheer spot top with a melon bodysuit underneath. This is my new solution to stop camisoles riding up relentlessly. Worn with Levis straight legs sized up for more of a boyfriend look and my cute cream sandals. They are super comfortable but can look a little too cute with a dress (on me), so I mostly wear them with these jeans. If I was a true minimalist I would purge them because they are limited, but I keep and wear them once or twice a month in warm weather.

I am interested in feedback on the sandals- do they work with the jeans? Any other feedback is welcomed too.

First of all, I am so glad to see that top "in action." I remember you posted a photo of it once and I was very taken with the fresh colour palette and design. It's super flattering on you! And what a great idea to try the body suit underneath.

I think your sandals work just fine with the jeans, yes, and provide a bit of juxtaposition. I was almost going to say that they feel a little bit retro, and the colours of the top hint in that direction, also -- so it's both cohesive and fresh, if that makes sense.

Gorgeous garden, too.

What pretty roses! I like the whole outfit from sheer top over melon to the sandals, which look just fine with the jeans. It's a happy outfit for a beautiful sunny day.

So pretty! That top is lovely on you. And the sandals work well, I would keep them. Why purge when you can wear them, unless you are a minimalist or you don't have the space to store them.

I always wondered whoever wears bodysuits. But now I understand the logic! Thanks for that, because I have always had this riding issue when I wear dresses with a cami. I think I should invest in a body suit for dresses.

Cute top! Many years ago I had a turtleneck bodysuit which I LOVED for layering! It prevented the whole layer shifting up and around thing during the day.

I think the sandals work nicely, too. Well done on the photo!

Thanks everyone. I have purchased two bodysuits, this one and a black one, both Jockey brand. They are comfortable and seem to work for me. I think I am a figure 8 shape with a high hip, and tanks just ride up and bunch constantly. I have worn the black one with a pencil skirt and sheer top too which worked well.

I do have a shape wear one which I wear with a dress for special occasions to define and smooth the waist area. But this is not comfortable enough for every day wear.
