Mmh, I like the look in the pic, but it's more the idea of tortoise shell glasses that makes me hesitate. They look good, but I'm not sure they are "me". I would have never ever tried tortoise shell if these concrete specs weren't in this color. I'm not sure if this is just one of these new and unfamiliar things you have to embrace from time to time, or a sign that I shouldn't do this. I have to wear these for at last three years!

I like them in the dark green color you tried first. I'm not crazy about tortoise shell anything for some reason. I really do love the the frames on you in the first color. I don't feel they are too dark on you.

Paradoxically, the first pair look slightly less heavy to me--I think it's because they're backed with clear (it looks like, from your third picture) rather than being green all the way through. I'm normally totally nuts for tortoise-shell anything, but I actually prefer the green pair.

I thought about this some more and I don't think I will be getting the tortoise shell frames. I don't think I like them enough to be happy with them for the next three to four years, even if they look good on me. They are just not "me". I'm still thinking about the other pair, because it's true that the shape is really nice on me.

I did some more searching today and found another pair I really liked. I had a really positive reaction to them when I tried them on, I like the vibe these frames have. But again I'm not sure whether they are droop-y or not. The SA that took the pic was really tall, maybe that's why it looks as if my eyes aren't centered in the middle of the frames. It seemed to be alright when I looked at my mirror image.

What do you think about it all?

It is done, I did the cash down payment this afternoon. These will be the most expensive specs I have ever owned, but probably also the most fab! The SA said it will take about a week. I'm so happy!
