I have three trips planned (October, November, and Spring 2017). All three trips will require a tremendous amount of walking (I do 99 percent of my sight seeing on foot).

Recognizing this, I have doubled my cardio training. As soon as it gets cool enough to work out outside, I'll increase it a little more.

That is not why I wrote this post. I started this post because I have been reading old fashion magazines from late 2014 while doing my cardio. I discovered a few things.

One, one ever goes back and reviews previous fashion trends. I am guessing that 50 percent of what I am seeing in In Style in September 2014 was a successful trend (meaning I still see the trends today in September 2016). That means a full 50 percent did not make the cut. Just like political predictions, no one ever goes back reviews those fails.

It is also interesting because I am comparing what I learned reading YLF to what I am seeing in 2014.

Two, there is a purse or bag on nearly every single page. I suddenly realized why I focus in on bags so much. I see them in the fashion pages and log them in my brain as "essential" to every well dressed woman.

By the way, there are no fashion bag failures. I want every single one I see from September 2014. Not one single bag looks dated. They all look so perfect to me! BUT I suddenly realized just how manipulated I have been when it comes to purses/bags. I can't have every single one of them. I have a really nice selection that meets my every need. Yet, my eyes still devour the pages of this magazine.

Three, those exact boots that AlaskaGirl posted about are prominently shown in the September 2014 In Style magazine. They look fabulous. Clean. Uncluttered. Elegant. Really gorgeous. The photoshot is grey and that makes them all the more uncluttered in my mind. I thought about scanning them and showing AlaskaGirl, but it is a two page ad.
