Piperlime has a 30-day return policy. I sent a jacket back 7-8 days before that period was up. Piperlime received my package on the 30-day mark exactly, but didn't process the return until 2 days after that.

I received an email this weekend (it was nice in tone, I'll grant them that) reminding me of their 30-day return policy, that I had exceeded it, but that they were processing my return as a "courtesy."

Gee, thanks!

I emailed back the details from above and was told that the 30-day policy INCLUDES mailing and processing. So we, as customers, are supposed to consider factors outside our control, namely: the timeliness of the United States Postal Service and the length of time it takes Piperlime to process a return once they've received it. Really?

In my opinion, I didn't abuse the return policy. My return was postmarked within the 30-day period. I don't like learning that I'm now being held responsible for factors I consider outside my control.

Am I wrong to feel a bit mislead in regards to Piperlime's return policy?
